Observe how much damage a laser weapon does to armor (-20%) its definitely off the mark. I run Gal Assault and laser weapons go through my armor way to fast to say they suffer a -20% penalty vs. armor. Not QQ here, just think its worth a look. Thanks o7. Any feedback or numbers to show me i'm wrong will be appreciated. Before I get the inevitable "you're a noob" i'm 48mil lifetime sp and produce over 1k kills a week.

You raise a very interesting point and trust me, you are not the only one who is curious about the power of the Scrambler rifles. But understand that because most suits that run scramblers (Amarr assault is what im hinting at), will almost 100% of the time run triple dmg modded suits (all complex) and the fact that the rifle is built of of heat build up per second and not per shot is a big deal. This attribute rewards players with a quick trigger finger becasue it allows you to fire more shots before the rifle overheats. I have tested doing this before and i have been able to get one charge shot followed by 13 regular shots. I don't know about the charge shot but i know the normal shots do a combined total of 1,134 damage before damage profile and thats not including the damage from the charge shot. So to answer most of your comment, its just people stacking damage mods and have a decent trigger finger. and even without the charge shot, i can empty 20 shots into an enemy at least before overheating, resulting in almost another thousand damage. So really, the profiles aren't broken, its just damage mods and trigger fingers.

After buying a modded controller i spammed the scrambler with no Amarr assault bonus and consistently got 15-16 rounds off. With Amarr Assault I got 22-23 shots.

3 complex Damage mods and at least 5% extra warbarge damage should make the damage profile against armor almost if not 100%. Try a 3 complex damage mods on a min commando and tell me that won't eat through shields aswell lol. |

Thanks, for the replies. I had considered the dmg mods but unfortunately we don't have the stacking penalty data. This was just one of a few posts I intend to draw attention to the numbers being incorrect about alot of weapons. Example: Core Locus Grenade 660 dmg (Explosive:-20% Shld +20% Arm dmg) Take my Gal assault as an example. Suit has 266 Shield 575 Armor, by explosive dmg profile 319.2 of the dmg should be absorbed by the shield, that leaves 408.96 Dmg to get through to armor (+20% bonus included in this number), using my Gal Assaults numbers that should leave 166.05 Armor left on suit=No kill. Its fundamental numbers like these i'm exploring. I don't care about whether a weapon,grenade, etc. is OP as long as the numbers and math make sense. Its just a problem I noticed and I believe most Dusters don't know its going on. Thank for the willingness to test, if you want to take it to FW i'd love to join hit me up in Anal Intrusion(my corps pub chat) or mail me one of your chats. o7

Git Good Scrub. LOL Welcome to the forums Wheezy! How you been doing brother? I'm taking a bit of a break from the game just to recharge but will probably jump back on in about a week or so.
As for Damage mods, running 3 complex damage mods will net you in the range of 18% bonus.

its balanced against armor not shields meaning it does close to the same dps as the CR and way too much to shields considering the overall lower eHP and it has range comparable to that of the Rail Rifle
using the argument that a CR chews trough shields just as fast is invalid due to the overall lower eHP of shiled suits and saying that a tac is just as powerful is also incorrect due to the range differences and how the weapons work differently and have different amounts of kick and dispersion while the Tac also cannot charge a shot to have an insane amount of alpha damge for rifles that can take out just about any shiled suit in one hit while doing massive damge to armor as well
however taking into account everything the ScR is not OP contrary to popular belief it is only OP if you consider that shields and the counter play against it is UP while it could use a rework due to it performing too well in some situations that in my opinion it should not, also AA it need to go if anyone wants to use the argument of it taking skill to be used as is the case for the BP

48 mil sp then you shoudl also realize how much you need to put into scramblers/lasers to get them viable vs armor.

Thats roughly 4 million sp just to get the cooldwon manageable, and damage high enough to take down an armor tanked suit.
I dont count the proficieny because it does bonus damage to shields, NOT armor.
The only area where the scrambler is doing better than it should is the assault scrambler. Instead of increasing some damage against armor and reducing some damage against shields, it just got an across the board damage buff. Doing way better in my armarr logi with the assault scambler more than i should in some situations.
On the other hand, the rail rifle is the bane of everybodies existence.

Scrambler rifle has been confirmed to be micro-charging
The profiles are not broken
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.
