Would giving all Caldari Suits a base increase to Shield recharge by 10 to 15 points make the suits on par with the rest, and maybe a 0.25 point reduction to regen.
I seem to have trouble fighting at a distance since my shield's don't regen fast enough to fight someone running and gunning towards me. |

Or will be better if you make a good fit instead tanking with full HP a combat suit as a heavy suit trying to be untouchable

Do you use energizers , regulators and rechargers ?
If not then try them and see the difference .
You sound like you don't use them and I have all suits caldari and I use what I asked and if you have time to use cover , that's if you don't have magnetic ammo following you ... your shields will recharge much better .
Now do they need a buff in HP values of shields thinking about the fact that you have the lowest low slot count and you have to use regulators to notice a difference .?. then I would say yes and a slight change to the depleted values as well then that might put them on par with gal and their armor / potential armor repair rate .
They need something though but shield modules do help .

4 Extenders. 1 Energizer. 2 Complex Regulators. 1 Ferroscale.
At max values it should be 614 Shields, 276 Armor with a delay around 2 seconds/2.7 depleted and recharge rate around 54 shield HP/sec.
I do run a fit with 3 Regulators but holy hell do Scramblers irritate me.
