This is what is needed to know:
-Did headset originally work then all of a sudden not?
-Is headset compatible with PS3?
-Has headset been set up correctly in PS3 accessory and sound settings?
-Is headset damaged in any way?
There are more once you can answer those.
Need a lot more information than just that you can't hear or be heard in chat channels.

Headset used to work. Never failed.
Yes headset was compatible.
Yes was setup correctly.
Physically headset broke, I'm not using headset anymore. I cannot hear voice from the tv since the update is what I meant.

Ok. Now what about these:
-Any connections to TV loose or old?
-After headset broke, was original wiring configuration restored?
-Was original accessory and sound settings restored in PS3 settings?
Reason I ask is that, update or not, seems a bit unlikely that even an audio glitch through the game, would last as long as you say it could have. Also, you're the only one so far that I have heard have a complication to this level. So, nothing towards you by any means but, I wouldn't assume it to be the game being glitched that long. Hence the troubleshooting.

Ok. Another to check. Though it was Bluetooth, check this setting as well.

-Audio Device Settings
Make sure Input Device is set to Do Not Use and Output Device is set to it's original (mine is set to my headset, so I can't remember original setting).

May be worth checking all in-game audio settings?

Checked audio settings. Music was at 0 changed it to 25 still can't hear voice. SFX at 25, Dialogue at 20, Voice chat at 100, Voice Chat Enabled ON, Push To Talk ON. Still getting no voice.

I have push to talk off on mine. Still thinking.

For pete's sake you two r trying too hard with this its a bug in the game in the actual freaking game why because I have the same thing, I log on activate voice n it NEVVVEERRR WORKS even when I put one of my headsets on I can hear the heat ( if some of you still know Wat the hell tht means) as I press activate voice n then 10~15 secs it dies no heat. Smtimes I get lucky n can vc n my voice is laggy so I assumed bad Internet but then smtimes vc works n not even tho I come through crystal clear so its not a lag thing. We r SOL cz no one decides to look into this damn sad fact tht your sqd mates r making jokes n doing callouts while u run around like a lonewolf all death. Please FIX THIS issue
