There is always a post about this weapon, that OP is, has a lot of damage, should nerf it , etc ...
Excuse my opinion but I think the gun is fine in its current state, so you must learn to deal with it not that this weapon has a problem.
It's like the gauss rifle also has a very high power, but no problem with it, because this is a weapon of short-medium range.
We all got used to the rail rifle, why not do it with scrambler rifle .
It has its good and bad points no , then I do not think there's a problem.
I'm sorry to say but I think that say the weapon is OP, are those who can not cope with the gun.
It may be wrong, but that the situation is with this weapon are already many who want to change the weapon.

It's widely known that the ScR is the bane of of shields but that's due to it being a laser profiled weapon which soul purpose is to destroy shielding of all types. So I don't understand when shield users **** and moan how they went 1v1 with an Amarr Assault and got their 600 shields wreaked by a ScR and then sh+»t their pants because their low amount of armor went the way of the wind as well.
But I can understand the frustration of the charged shot followed by a volly and would accept a nerf to it in the form of automatic overheat but only if the charged is held over half way( don't want another ion pistol ). An increase in hipfire dispersion would also be welcome to bring it in line with the TAR.
Also the ScR is a medium-long range weapon, not short to medium.

I use mine as short, and I go 23 / 5

I honestly think it melts the caldari to fast maybe being a gal or min is better suited to fight against it but i cant drop the armor half way before i get dropped.
Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)

It renders shield suits useless and still chews through armor with ease. A fully maxed out, triple damage mod viziam does somewhere near 120 shield damage per shot. Combine that with the ability to charge shot (250%? = 300 hp) and volley you can easily tear through the strongest shield tanks in a blink of an eye. Imo one weapon should not be so strong against an entire tanking philosophy. There is no armor weapon that can compare.
Perhaps change it to +15%/-15% to shields /armor. Make the full charge shot always overheat

So a Freedom Mass Driver on a Commando Mk.0 with three damage mods doesn't compare? Because I use that often but except I have a boundless :D

I like your idea, is powerful, but do not think that nerf it is the answer .
Maybe give some disadvantage would match its great power.
15% + shields, 15% - shielding, all right
Each shot loaded cam to overheating, I do not think it would be better that each shot overheat load the gun by 90% of the capacity , because if each charged shot cause overheating, could end up killing you , If you stay at low health and you want to give a knockout
Reduce its scope can be a good option. |
