I know this will never be implemented for reasons, but still...
I think their should be a commander suit for every race. Like, for caldari it will look like the covenant assault but with stripes of white or something. For minmatar its like a red and white camo asaault.
To skill into the Commander suits you'd have to have level 5 in the race's assault class thingy. THEN you can start skilling into commander suits. They can be skilled into proto. The commander suit (aside from looking freaking awesome) will have a little more PG/CPU then the same level assault variant. The perks for skilling into it will be increases in wp gained from squad leader commissions, and slightly reduced wp needed to call for off planet assistance.
Like. Ahhh man. So cool. Idk Idc I'm going to write some stats for them. I will update this maybe.

Give the Commander bonuses to the Basic Suits relevant to the suits they are and what race. But same Race/Suits cannot stack exp. In a squad Cal/heavy + Cal/heavy = only the highest lvl is used. In a squad Cal/Heavy + Gal/Heavy = both skills are used. Cal, Am, Gal, Min/ heavy = all skills for squad are used. Same for the other Light and Medium frames. This will make firesquads better and a new way for fighting in Fact/PC. Op I love your Idea to death-í!!!!!!!!!!!!! Passive innate squad skills FTW!!!

Try to get more squad bonuses for each of the suits like how you have it for the Commander A-1
Commander C-1: +5% squad bonus to Hybrid-Rail based weapons, -2% squad Lock on speed for Swarm Launchers (negative number means it decreases the lock on speed) As squad leader you get double command points when placing commands

Note: you will only get these bonuses if you're suit matches the lvl type (ex. Commander C-1 must match any other basic class suit to gain bonus) Oooohhh yeah that would make sense. Maybe also add a bonus to LP gain if your whole squad runs amarr dropsuits in afw? (etc. for other factions)
(Also general commander bonuses) +2% squad leader commission payout (Unlocked at lvl 3) allows user to set two orders //second orders are on the left side of the order wheel thingy

One equipment slot on a suit like this would change a lot. Maybe like...the slot is fitted with an injector and can't be replaced. Each level of commander dropsuit would have an equal level nanite injector. But yeah. Thats why I tried to level out the high and low slots so the equipment slot wouldn't make the gal commander better. I'm still tweakin.
I was goin for a scout finder fit. Gallente stuff has the lowest vanilla profile precision I think...or...profile...for scouts...

Er uh idk. I'd change it but now that you say that, how would a commander increase damage output of his squids. Extra stamina because yelling makes sense.
I DON KNOW. This is difficult.
Would you like to maybe brainstorm an alternative bonus or something. You are the lore master, I'm sure there is some story related explanation that will make this amazing. Or something.

If CCP does this there won't be stacking boosts if you designate someone as squad booster or have the boost only work if the person using the Commander suit is squad leader and the boost will only apply to the same race suit, class suit does not matter.

I don't think they should buff damage, because we already have a problem with that.
Commander bonus: 2% squad bonus to modules per level
Amarr: 2% to squad passive precision and uplink spawn time per level Caldari: 2% to squad max ammo and nanites efficiency per level Gallente: 2% to squad profile and scanner duration per level Minmatar: 2% to squad sprint speed and repair tool range per level
