I was thinking as my mercenary sat in his quarters, on the couch in front of the Holographic Display. And, I had this revelation...that my mercenary just may be going stir crazy from being cooped up in his quarters, fighting in battles. With only two places to be, and having seen very much of both, I would like to remedy his sensational insanity with a sort of...social hub.
In your quarters, there are doors that cannot be used. They're only there for decoration, an illusion to the trap that there's something more behind those walls. But, there isn't, and I beleive it's nearing that time that there should be something more...
You press the panel on the right side of the door, and it opens to a small room, an elevator, in fact. You step inside, and a holographic display reveals itself listing the current hubs you can go to; The Market, The Commons, The Docking Bay, etc. etc. All of these are technically based on your warbarge. And, of course, those people who you carry on your contacts list, can join your hubs, and vice versa.

Depending on the race of your character, these hubs are accessible within the provinces of the four factions. All players can join them provided they are the same race as you; Amarr <---> Amarr, Caldari <---> Caldari, Gallente <---> Gallente, Minmatar <---> Minmatar.
Nonetheless, these hubs remove the necessities of the chat bar. These custom made chat channels we all have can be converted into these hubs(CCP can even make you pay real money, or AUR to keep these channels running, but are free to access to anyone). You can mark these hubs as favorites, therefore, your chat channel is saved, and removing a large cause of lag for your matches(The only chats that would remain are Local, Corp, Alliance, Team, and Squad).
These hubs can be used for casual conversation, or trading. Each Mercenary would be displayed walking around the room in their suits, and enjoying the newly added veiws of spectacular planets, or nebulas outside the reinforced, airtight windows.
