do you feel like tanks pop too easily? I can solo one, it's hard and I may lose 140K ISK but your decent tanks cost 1m ISK right?
See I think that everyone has AV now because they were forced into it when tanks were super-powerful and super-popular, then when tanks were brought down and AV brought up, everyone was skilled into it, I'm sure you've had a few games where so many people run to the spawn point to pull out proto swarms that the game almost freezes up because of the amount of swarms coming at you.
Seems like a lot of people have AV, you will find some lucky rare games where you can do what you like before someone pulls out AV, it was going to happen, we were forced to spec into AV.
See CCP wanted to make tanks more viable, they first did that by changing their control and their physics, they became quicker and could traverse mountainous terrains more easily. Then they opened the floodgates and made it so every single player in DUST could afford a tank, we all know the rest.
But what we DON'T know, is how this guy called it, a very long time ago, I think that if tanks weren't made to be so powerful in the first place in a stupid attempt to make them "usable", we would be in a different situation.

Nope, rarely lose it unless I have 3 or 4 sources of AV pounding away. I multi role anyways, so when a tank isn't going to be effective, I switch to ground and take em out. |

I play smart, watch my ranges, and manage my engagements. Dying happens rarely because I don't put myself in bad positions, and I try not to let AV get into a position where I am fighting three at once.

I drive into the jaws of hell, constantly. It's only fun if 3 or 4 people are attacking me. My budget for any given solo pub is 5 million, and I hit that often enough. Survivability is irrelevant to me, the lack of diversity is the real culprit.
Oh, and ADS being all but worthless in most cases, considering ADS is the only fun part of this game. At the very least give us our damn ADV and PRO hulls

Nothing scary really. Drive around smart (with a way to escape from an ambush or something), kill reds and force them to switch for AV. The more red AV'ers the easier it is for your team to break enemy lines.

Missile shield tanks are too nerfed and don't really have a defined advantage vs. the blaster and rail. Also, why does the Gal tank do missiles and rails better than the tank that is supposed to specialize in thise turrets?
