Nope. You got full battles and they were more balanced then the current matchmaking. In the current, its either you get stomped, or you are stomping. The old was pretty even, no one left, obviously there was game where you were stomped/stomping but that is to be expected in any game.

"no one left" bro did you even play back then? seriously people left all the time, the matches got filled with more scrubs that also left, the only ones left at the end of the match were the stompers and the scrubs that cant figure out how to exit a battle without finishing it
the old system ensured matches were almost always one sided
heck in the old system there was no matchmaking, at least the one you are referring to anyway
the system had to change for many reasons, and the current system benefits new players which is good, I dont mind being stuck against top notch players however I do wish both sides would man up and fight like real mercs rather then little pansies
matchmaking today is beyond better then how it used to be, still not perfect but all the people romanticizing the old times are usually those that couldn't adapt, espeacilly the players that wanted everything to be easy mode slaying poor newbros, even now people still exploit ways to get into the academy because they suck at this game and cant pad thier KD's like other scrubs do
AA is a relic to old dust something that in my opinion has to be removed or reworked for the game to move forward and away from magic magnetic bullets
dust may not be the same but its better for everyone that it isn't, a lot of things still need to be worked on but we have a better more polished and refined product now then we did even just last year
as I see it we can still consider this sorta like a second beta wherein the game will still be worked on and refined further developing with player input as we move on to make the game something more perhaps better then it already is

There was no matchmaking before now. Didn't you read that in their release? It just threw people together.

exactly, sometimes you got great matches, sometimes you got bad matches. but in this system you always get bad matches. I have yet to have fun in pubs in the current system
