Swarms absolutely devastate Assault dropships to the point of uselessness. My 3000 armor 900 shield incunus gets two shotted by a freking minmatar commando sitting on a hive on a tall building with a burger in one hand and holding R1 with the other?
Where is the skill involved in using swarms? Does anyone have any clue how much skill is required to use a ADS compared to swarms? I could be feeding my kid with one hand, eating a burger with my other and with my toes kill dropships with ease.
Please stop balancing swarms around tanks. It is completely unfair for the Dropships.
I would also like to add that removing the RoF bonus to Assault dropships possiblty the worst idea ever. Not only are dropships glass but there is no cannon.
It wouldn't be so bad now if I could just swoop in unload a volley of missiles with my 50% RoF bonus as avoid the swarm and do some hit and run tactic, but since everything is so tanked and the fact that you can't even hit jumping MinCommandos that Assault dropships are completely useless. Not only do I have to stand there for long period of time (Dropships wise) trying to kill one guy, every shot I miss hurts so much more than it would If I had a RoF bonus.
I have 5 million POINTLESS SP put into Incubus 5 and Python 5. The RoF is not even noticeable and for that 5 million sp, I'm probably no better than the guy with 0 sp.

P.S. the removing of the RoF bonus has made ADS completely useless against tanks. It's like throwing marsh mellows at Dwayne Johnson "THE ROCK" and trying to kill him.

The main problem is swarms are very good against DS I can't agrue, but their pretty much the only form of AV that can really take down a DS. If your going to nerf swarms they need to buff the reset of AV in some way to make it practical to kill DS still. I mean come one only one wapon in the entire game has a decent chance of killing a DS and the pilots still complain. Infantry have to worry about just about every other weapon in the game other than swarms. Tanks have all kinds of AV from PLC, swarms, mines, grenades etc to worry about. Even small arms fire from HMG's and such can take out tanks a lot easier than DS.
So no DS are not floating bricks of death like people want them to be, but if they were ever made that way they need to sacrifice something to make them even remotely fair. After all if a DS can take a hit as good as a tank with ten times the maneuverability of a tank, why would tanks even exist?
They take more than 5 mil sp? WEll guess what buddy, 2.5 mil is just for the passive bonus to RoF (Wich is sh*t). It takes a lot of skills into armor and shields in vehicles. It probably takes a lot more sp to get into ADS than it does into proto swarms.
BTW: that one weapon is the game has a decent chance is SOOO B.S. What you meant to say is "Swarms are the only decent chance for us skill-less lazy players to kill the ADS without effort." You must not play Dust if you think that only swarms are the only way to kill ADS.
You don't have to always kill the ADS- a swarm user can deny the ADS user of that section of the map with little to no effort. BTW if you think using swarms is hard, O'boy are you in for a surprise when you try to go kill something with an ADS.

Also, tank can take 20x the beating an ADS can take. Since I can fit double hardeners on my tanks and have almost 3x the HP as a dropship along with sufficient cover on the ground, tanks are ez mode compared to ADS.
Seriously, guys like you are ignorant AF. Go play as an ADS pilot and comeback to me when you are successful going positive in our wallet and doing something for the team.

Ps. I have better example of rewarding lazines. Put a tape on R1, aim at a sentinel using a repair tool, grab a drink and a taco, enjoy free wp. Just move from time to time to not get kicked.
But what takes more skill? Killing a jumping commando with a missile launcher or shooting EZ mode lock on swarms.

Eh I guess you can call me lazy because I'm not going to read that rant because I can tell within a few words that you didn't read mine. Like a true fanatic you pick and choose a few words to respond to and ignore the rest. ADS are something they tacked onto the game, the game shouldn't adapt to ADS , they should be forced to work with the game. Swarms existed before drop ships were even a pipe dream and I highly doubt they need nerfed even more to make room for a single vehicle that serves almost no real purpose on the battle field unless it's an unstoppable killing machine. Which was what my post was talking about... if you got your wish it be a flying tank. One that has a heck of lot more speed and maneuverability.
1. Dropships have been in existance since the beginning. Now, how does any of what you just said have to do with balancing the ADS. What you just said is that the ADS is tacked into the game therefore don't expect it to be good. Well, isn't the Commando just a tacked in version of the sentinel? They made the commando good.
Also,if you think ADS serves no purpose you are absolutely right. Because of people like you, the ADS has no purpose other than to fly around and look at the scenery. The very small ADS community, however, want a purpose other than an expensive coffin.
It doesn't have to be unstoppable. You're just being pure ignorant. Nothing has to be an unstoppable killing machine, the assault suit isn't an unstoppable killing machine but it still viable and good at killing. The ADS doesn't have to be unstoppable but it doesn't kill well at all because swarms (Balanced around OP tanks) are ruining ADS.
All I want is a buff to ADS. There is not one good reason anyone can provide against it. Almost everyone with half a brain agrees that the ADS is underpowerd and swarms are overpowerd toward ADS.
ALSO- VERY IMPORTANT- "It should be forced to work with the game" WELL guess what bruh, ignorant losers like you won't let it just like they won't agree to a buff to snipers.
Ya'll only care about your role. If one day your role of choice got completely nerfed into the ground, i'm sure you would try to do something about it.

Anyone that says the swarm is the only effective weapon against the ADS lacks any real credibility on the subject, as much as swarms are unbalanced atm, I fear a deadeye forge gunner more, luckily forge takes skill so many people never bother to learn its power over the skies.
Heh swarmlauncher that one shots dropships, you sir are certainly a refreshing voice of reason on this subject.
Because up links on a roof. Many good ADS pilots would even say it's quite easy to ADS in PC because most people don't mindlessly switch to AV because people have ROLES!!!
Yes, Dead-eye, Forgunners are rare and I don't hate going down to them as much as I hate going down to a swarmer.
