Video
Got a very weird kill in a PC last night ... shouldn't have got it , really , and was very surprised when i checked the replays ...
My shotgun shot went no where near my enemy , yet I still killed him somehow. I can only assume bad hit detection.
Judge for yourself !

The bullets hit the scout just they didnt came from the gun but in the middle of nowhere .

Welcome to DUST 514. This is all part of the "Magic". Its a system of random probability devised by CCP to make things more "pshhhh"
I believe it all has something to do with dodgy ass aim assist coupled with latency. Everyone knows how bad this can get with the bolt pistol, it seems its not limited to that.

What I have had was no hits registered recently. I lost 2 Scotsman because my bons failed to actually kill enemy in point blank range. It got me frustrated. At least I'm not the only one having wierd shotgun problems recently.

Yep, people act like it's only the bolt pistol that somehow magically hits when it shouldn't (this is a cognitive bias) when in truth all sorts of weapons hit (or miss) when they shouldn't - for a variety of reasons, like server/client disagreements.
Now if this was a bolt pistol in the video people would be freaking out and touting it as 'definitive proof' that the weapon is 'op'.

Bolt is OP bc it does 1000 dmg with 1 HS.

I dodged a min scouts NK's last week I could clearly see he swiped to the side of me yet I died, I've also notice missing the target but getting kills with my SG. |

Pretty rare for that to happen to me. I've had shotgun shots become headshots and I'm sure I pegged the guy in the stomach.

Obviously it ricocheted off the rail. You can see the shot fly back past your face just before the kill pops up.
That is some overpowered stuff there.
Remove NPC orbitals from FW. -- Fix orbital timers for Eve players assisting in Planetary Conquest.

You do realize that at least 30% of the time you shoot a person with a shotgun dead on at 5m it does like 5 shield damage....
