DUST Search - There's rarely enough people on now...

This game is fun, but I'm running out of people to actually play against. Matches in Dust can be long also so after about 4-6 matches everyone with a similar connection to me is gone, and if I want to play more than that I have to role the dice on connection.

Yes, I'm venting. There is not a simple solution to this. CCP cannot simply hit a switch to influx more players into the game.

I hope that a PS4 iteration of Dust 514 comes soon not SOONGäó. Or one day I might try to find a Skirmish match for half an hour only to find there's only one guy on the other team. And I don't want lack of players to be the reason I have to leave this game. Especially now that it's at its best, performance wise.

It's filled to the brim with assets in the wrong places and lod of very large structures instead of smaller sections make cities laggy and if they don't load fast enough you'll be stuck in place until it does... Planetary conquest and eve interaction is very lackluster and it's the game's main selling point. If the devs were half as daring as the pilots in eve (even though eve is just a game) they'd be they'd be in a much better place even if the beginning was as rocky as dust's. Also after the cancellation of world of darkness, project legion, and the shift in focus to vr titles makes me think ccp is afraid of making an mmo where you can actually roam freely and find other players unless you're in a pod. Eve and dust aren't terrible games they just rely on heavy fanboyism to be seen as something worth working on for ccp, which means if any ip's aren't insta hits they get pushed aside or cancelled. CCP cant get away with half ass attempts and expect success simply becaus they were first at something. others will follow, and do it better.

The game feels a little dead when I get online. you have to divide that player base into their little matchmaking divisions. if your too good or bad you run the risk of placing into a matches where few people match your skill level. i havent seen gone through a a full match of 16 v 16 in over a month. usually there are dropouts. ive had 16 v 16 matches turn into 16 v 5 in under 30 seconds... so whatever CCP is doing... isnt not working because the user experience is negative. lopsided matches dont make us want to play. performance issues dont make us want to play. balancing issues dont make us want to play. the most serious offense currently is the lag. the fact that we now schedule when we play based on our time zone is insane. but thats the reality. if you play outside your time zones peak hours youll suffer connection problems anyways, we play because were addicted. and shout out to all the East Coasters \o/

Especially now that it's at its best, performance wise. Skirmish is all I play. But I find it hard to find a match early morning 12 am to 11 am. I don't hardly see any players from the forums play skirmish. I cut you up so bad.... You gonna wish I no cut you up so bad.
