How hard would it be for CCP to automatically add a rookie channel for new players?
They could allow some veteran players with Eve characters to moderate the channel to keep trolls at bay. |

We've asked about things like this, there is, as I understand it, something which causes trouble in being able to set up any auto chats for/from Dust side. I hope that at some point this will change but it is something we've discussed with CCP months ago and it was in-actionable at the time.

But what we certainly can do is make a channel ourselves and ask CCP to include it in the new player tutorial.

This part, not so much. Trolls are easily spotted and/or countered by the well-intended. Further, and perhaps more importantly, the power of moderation would open up all kinds of potential issues.
