Instead of only giving a bonus to those near an objective when they make a kill, turn it around and give the bonus based on the location of the kill. That way even we snipers and other long range fighters might get some much needed WP for actually killing those trying to hack objectives.
We NEVER get Defence bonus WP. |

if you are out some 200m+ away you dont deserve the extra WP as you are the reason they were implemented in the first place
if you want more wp for defending then actually defend and support your team near the point, if you are a sniper you should already get +10 for head shot kills which should be reward enough all in itself so stop complaining

Um I am a sniper and I get the defence bonus. For pushing an objective I use my cal commando with TAC and RR. Use the RR when I'm by my self, the tac when I have friendlies all around me. Though there are some maps and sockets when it makes more sense to snipe towards the obj than from it. On those maps I use my cal scout with damps and cloak to manuver around the battlefield. I do understand it would be nice to get those defensive points when your sniping those around the objective, but I always considered this a trade off for being in safer location. Those around the objective place their lives directly on the line and deserve the bonus.
When I look down my scope, all I see are dead people.

Actually,i originally suggested the idea because sentinels were suffering WP wise,not because of snipers.
Giving a defense bonus to someone defending the point is obvious.
And i agree it should apply if a hack is stopped.
Because at least they're keeping the point safe.
However,i don't believe it should be wholly redone.
Those closest to the point should get the bigger bonus(because they're in the greatest danger),however those furthest should still get something.
(I'm imagining something similar to radar fall off.)
