I am campainging for CPM2 (vote tesfa) and of course have no problem getting onto the other message boards. What i found there was.. kind of what i was expecting.
People spend a lot of time slagging off non english speaking corps in G.D., the war room, and from time to time Feedback. The responses i got from teh spanish, french anmd russian boards can be summed up as such:
"Thanks but no thanks. CCP and the CPM never cared about us before, so why the hell are you here?''
Which is absolutley true. Nobody ever pays anymind to any laguage section other than the english ones. Kind of odd for such an international following as dust has. As anybody who ever squaded me for a regular time knows, I am about as international as it gets. I played dust during my time in the middles east, i've spent a good deal of time in france and the US and currently reside in Russia. More than you would think in Africa. My regular squad mates are majority american, australian, european, and peurto rican.
And still, i never thought to check out the language boards before CPM2 elections.
So i promise, and hope my fellow candiates try to as well: at least deidicate one of the elected members of the CPM to talk to the other boards to get thier feedback.

The reason you got people asking why the hell you were posting in their boards was because literally the only time these people had seen you was when you went into their forums and posted google translated paragraphs that amounted to 'Vote for me'.

Yes. And I learned from it.
hence, my whole "CPM2 memenbers should be assigne to checking the other laguage boards for feedback like they were elected to do" proposal.

You want to make an impact on non-English speakers, continue where I left off and support the Portuguese speakers who have no localized support for Dust 514. Poor old dudes in Dust Brasil have to translate everything for every new Portuguese player we get because in all of Sony's wisdom they put it on the PSN store despite having no language support - right after Fanfest 2014 no less, from what I've heard.

It's only a slanderous comment if it's false.
I have confirmed the story through a source that wishes to remain anonymous.
Considering my honorable track record there is no reason to question these allegations. |
