I enjoyed this video :)
When I started meleeing in mid 1.8 , I did it with a 'Covenant' sniper Rifle , as it felt my sweep would reach further. I still think it does :P

We shall see. I die pretty quickly under sustained fire and light up on everyone's tacnet as a commando without dampening mods. I also have a pretty damn large hitbox. I make it look easy in a montage of course. There was a good bit of dying in order to get a bunch of interesting footage.
In a heavy-logi chain it's always best to go after the heavy then the logi as they, the logi is utterly stunned and without a weapon out. Makes for easy clean up. Had both players had weapons drawn and affixed on me I'd likely be dead in that scenario.
Yes, it's powerful, but it's a different tactical approach to battle engagements.

You know my position. I think the damage buff to melee if great. It makes it viable as a unique combat niche for CQC brawling. What are people's thoughts on that?

Very nice vid, man. The Gallente Lab and the underground meat grinder footage were some of the best I've ever seen in a Dust related video. Kill after kill after kill--I didn't know when it'd end. |

Cheers! It was quite a rush when making it, but sometimes I wish I wasn't relying on my DSLR/tripod to film directly at the TV. Sometimes the bugger would just stop recording in the middle of a great multikill. 
Particularly one on the Gallente Lab where you can jump into the null cannon room from the road outside via the little window (with jump mods). So frustrated that cut off.

I never trusted nanohives. I reprogrammed one to hold my lunch. A day after that battle ended i had a bill from the cru for one death out of battle. And i was in a new clone wjen i woke up.
Lets hope my waifu doenst see this video,or she might beat me with the bento box(we use ceratanuim for it,that shite can fall from orbit and not melt) It would be wonderful if there was a hacked rep tool variant that could heal redberries. 
That would go nicely with a hacked skin that could show you to reds as a blueberry |

I've really only had trouble with the off-hand faction warfare. That's only after long gaming sessions.

The Minmatar Commando dishes out an extra 334 damage above that of a Min Scout with knives. The melee user can simply keep taping the melee button whilst the nova knife user must gauge the timing on when the charge meter is filled. A melee user however, must be very mindful of their stamina gauge. Sprinting is key to closing the distance on melee attacks, however if you expend all your stamina by the time you reach a target you will not be able to use your melee. The player may however still use their weapon; however, general movement and melee attack speed are faster with either a sidearm or equipment active compared to a light weapon.
Both Complex Biotics and Proto Knives are already above the killing potential needed to kill a heavy suit in 1-2 hits. While the Min Commando has a profile sig between 55-49db and a much larger hitbox than the Min Scout, the Min Commando has mobility with the Myo Stims to jump around and tank decent dps from a single target while in a berserk charge. This is effective for taking on a heavy under reps as the repping player is without an equipped weapon. The Min Commando will die very quickly when faced against 2 or more opponents with hit scan weapons like the Assault Combat Riffle or Burst Assault Riffle. Players standing over repair hives are much better suited to engage a melee commando threat.
The melee-centric focus of the Min Commando is more costly and more fitting intensive that what is needed of a Min Scout or any other suit wielding Ishukone Nova Knives. Those fitting slots may be used by ehp mods or profile dampeners, increasing the likelihood of approaching a target for a kill.

It's great for breaking up heavies entrenched in confined spaced. I can only imagine what a squad of beefy nanohive delivery mercs would be like--nightmare customer service.

Cloaks on heavies just haven't been worth it to me. You still show up on everyone's tacnet and you're severely gimped with no space for weapons and limited fitting space for biotics.
