So I have been here since chromosome and all this other stuff, my personal opinion as a veteran duster (Even though CCP probably doesn't care) is that ever since Uprising 1.7 dust was on a downward slope on quality, now we have invincible tanks that you need 3 AV guys to take down for around 2 minutes of chasing, shield HAVs have now placement next to an armor tank, TTK is a little fast, noobs keep getting into pubs and FW, its a bunch of bullshit and it needs fixing, first off with the frame-rate smoothness, and the new-berry situation.
MY solution would be:
1. Rework the academy to 2.5M (T1) 6M (T2) 12.5M (T3) and put real tutorials into the game itself, like an intro where you don't actually fight a person but you learn how to use equipment, use specific guns, call in war-barge strikes and vehicle usage, effectively afterwards mindless blues would not be existent besides the ones we already have. I don't mean anything fancy with this tutorial or anything but just a little something for every specific weapon, the variations they can learn on their own. it's not all that much work.
2. REMOVE THE PROGRESSION TAB. ITS TERRIBLE. no veteran in right mind would use it, and the fits cost aurum, its just asking new-berries to leave, remove it entirely (ALSO it causes ALOT of lag)
3. Frame-rate - implement an auto cache clearer for after every match, not hard to do and would fix about 30% of all the lag issues.
4. this might take some time, but try putting less detail into everything, and simplify the squares, the objects don't have to have 50 solid surfaces when it could be 5, put skins onto the buildings instead of actually making individual blocks. also the MCC - dumb it down a bit but keep it looking neat, and maybe fix that MCC turret (4 rail guns & a missile turret jammed together)
5.outside of playable map area loading - please make it so the map won't load the outside sockets far off in the redline, that makes lag too. also just cutting off the map about 700m into the redline is good, I had a mini disconnect once and went 3452m out from A and jumped off the corner of the map, too bad I didn't have a video.
6. remove rank names. people don't need to know you spent money, it just adds more blue or red letters to the killboard in the right corner.
7. Trading focused. Implement the real trading window. here's a really bad one from runescape http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/2009/03/15/trade_1.gif this would reduce scamming or confusion with trading. also make a 'want to sell' option, and what you put for sale is reserved for the price you set to anyone who wants to buy it that goes over your name in chat, or in market. (Basically the EVE market system.)
8. vehicles - I know you guys are working on them somewhere, but they need to go back to 1.4 Uprising stats. keeps swarms at 4 missiles to a pod and keep their current damage, maybe a 20 point base buff to all tiers at that. switch the blaster to it's original dot sight, increase rail-gun range to 450m (Thale range. FYI sniper rifles cannot fire farther than a tank MT can.) re-implement enforcers, marauders, and black ops (basic, adv, pro, exp in reality tier wise) then officers.
9. annoying market - remove the 'get aurum' from every page but the front page, and make it so it wont be highlighted first thing when you press x, its annoying.
I can add on many more things but just go with it. reply if you want, or add on to it. (Just realised its in the wrong forum.)
