There is a plenty to write about Warframe vs 'what Dust 514 can be'.
From my expirence Warframe is succesfuly mix most good points from Destiny, Borderland and Eve/Dust (station/quarters lol ;) As I remeber WoW somehow at begining was similiar with mixing all good points that MMO ofers. And this works well.
Warframe ofers: - free (pay if you want) game - complex grafix - with huge place for customs options (skins/colors/animation) - weapon and 'dropsuit' customization - PvE with auto-teams (for me little anoying) - Minning and salvaging. Crafting! :) - more ? sure :) but this is no advert at all.
Almost all things that we always ask.
Rattati and team if will start new 'Dust project' will have good and solid platfrm to copy. Highly placed bar to jump over.
Think Dust with this features in the background. What you think? It is good start point for CCP team to build new 'Dust'?

If you change your matchmaking mode to solo or private, you don't need to worry about this.

Warframe is a really different game than dust is, it is dumb to make direct comparisons between them.
It's like comparing league of legends to potato's.

Warframe here is only example that things are possible. For me is more closer to thing 'what dust can be' (in mechanics). If you have better example - no problemo. Just give your tip how Dust should work (MMO, MMO RPG in Eve universe).
If you look at history of changes in Dust (machanics, pay methods etc) you will see that Dust migrated from hard-Dust to COD-like based mechanic. I'm not fan of this.
This topic how to help develop solid platform from start to migrate back to hardcore-Dust-dream in Eve universe. Unique (lore-universe)and fun (standard mix of good mechanics).

Man sollte die beiden Spiele nicht vergleichen. DUST und Warframe gehen beide andere Wege. in Warframe bist du ein Ninja und in DUST ein Klonsoldat. Eher sollte man sich die PvE Eigenschaften f++r DUST ++bernehmen. Kleines Team von 4-8 Soldaten die Planeten von Piraten befreien m++ssen , geht in EVE ja auch. |

Again. Warframe is example of lacking things in Dust (that was labeled 'soon tm' by CCP and things that players have hope for) . IMHO good mix of MMO-RPG mechanics that can be solid platform for 'next-gen' Dust 514. From your point of view machanics that make 20-30% of Dust. Maybe not important for causal player in Dust , but If that things never be implemented in EVE instead... players as I never take Eve as long term game. Why Dust must be different here?

Been thinking about doing a first-principles design post for Dust II in F&D but the current Dust has sucked out not only my will to play but also any desire to devote more time Dust - maybe in the fall.
