Every single battle I get in within the first minute I see 4-6 people leave. Friendly or enemy all this function does is make for a boring stomp or stomping, low scores and poor payout. Rarely do people drop or do once in and if you actually have to go just turn your PS3 off. Matchmaking can't work when everyone leaves. |

Even though leaving is annoying at the least and disrupting the matchmaking at the worst, it still has it's legit uses.
And removing leaving option would only make it more difficult to leave, it couldn't naturally wipe it out of existence.

I would honestly give a whole hell of a lot to have an occasional match where it was just me against absolutely no one. I would utilize that time to learn to fly dropships. That match would last for hours on end and I wouldn't even care. |

To be fair, I don't think any of us can really say why most people leave battles.
As for "Adapt," I resent the implication of this statement. One can be perform great in a map, but still hate the map, or just be momentarily sick of the map. The whole point of games is to have fun, and doing battle on a map you hate is counterproductive to that end.
Nothing would prevent people from just restarting PS3 to quit battle, it's not like lag or frame rate issues are the only time it would be possible.
One more thing, you can just not spawn and make the battle kick you out after a few minutes. Removing the option to leave battle does not solve anything.

like now i was playng alone, and i found your same problem.
peaple, now, have fear to play a match beacuse in them mind they have lost the battle before they have even fought.
and yes, mathcmaker doesnt work, sometime in one side are 10 12 peaple over 45 milion sp in oher side 15 player of 5 milion sp. and always im ****** up -__-
btw the problem now was upgrade by the qsync and the camping protostomps in publics
today i did 3 match ended 1 vs 14 3 vs 16 and 4vs 15 in domination, so i turn of the play
and like me there are more other players.
in this game there are more players in forum walk talking good but they do the opposite of what they say

There are many problems with this suggestion
1) not everyone in the squad might have gotten into battle
2) extreme lag(best option is to leave battle)
3) people having to go do real life stuff
4) finally leaving battle because they cannot stand that map (eg train map)

I get what you're saying, but reasonably it's a game and ultimately games should be fun. Shocking I know. Some people love good fights, some people love to troll, try new fits, teamkill in fw, scam newbros for isk, farm isk, afk, qsync, only play pc, use shxtfits, use scrub tactics, run tanks...et al. The bottom line is you cant make people want to do something they don't want to do on a completely choice based medium. It sucks for the rest of us to llay 4v12 but hey....

However, removing the "Leave Battle" function is not my preferred solution. There are better ways.
70% of my fights are against successful q-syncs of the top 15 corporations, I'm either fighting 8 people of the same corporation or I'm fighting 4 people of one corporation and 4 people of another, and guess what, my team is nothing but retards.

They tried to fix the match making and the game started creating lopsided battles with 16/12 players or worse. Of course mostly those asymmetric lien ups mostly happens because people cry about being undermanned in even 16/15 line-ups. I've seen those battles, where 16/15 quickly became 16/8 or fewer. |

Remove Ping compensation for slow connection. I have a 250 mb connection less than 5 miles from server, Ethernet 6a cord, 850 pro ssd, and I get lag occasionally. ( against Latin corps primarily ) most other games I've been accused of hacking lol.

yup, especially when you have 3 heavies shooting at you, their fire comes out slower than the assault HMG,
it turns to **** and you can't even move you're just stuck in a web of low frame rate.
half my shots today haven't even registered because of the APPALLING frame rate and hit detection. |
