Though, since open Beta I've only seen one ad. I have never seen the video ad only the banner. Looks pretty good. Why did CCP never pour this across every electronic medium? We may never know. If they invest in advertisement to pull more people into an incomplete, laggy, lightly supported game, they'll do more damage through increased bad reviews and a higher rate of people leaving than those coming in. DUST's lack of advertisement has always been a strength for the game because it shields it from much of the public scrutiny it came under when it first tried to advertise. They probably spent a freighter load on those idiot producers and marketing boffins. But in the end, it's a few guys left with the task of turning off the lights and the hard-core few players that stuck it out (or are willing to return) - that's where the quality comes from. And shouldn't CCP remember that given where and how they started? Huge marketing budgets and stupid 'C' suite salaries will not a big hit make. Starting small and iterating on incremental improvement is how you climb any ladder. I hope they realize the quality seedling that the Shanghai demo-crew has offered them.
