it would be nice to see the tactical assault be able to match the scrambler in range and clip size. the 50rpm buff is to help with the lag glitching up to firing constantly. it should beat all at 60m but all beats it at that range right now. I have to use stacked dmg mods.

but if you don't have bad lag then it would make this buff OP

The Tac AR is relatively balanced against the ScR.
It loses out slightly on Anti-Shield DPS but easily makes that up with increased Anti-Armour DPS. Additionally I'm pretty sure that Thaddeus confirmed that despite visually not firing the correct number of shot the weapon will fire its full amount at its full rate of fire.
However admittedly it just has some awful recoil.

It literally fires one less bullet than the Scr and you rarely shoot more than 24 shots due to the heat build up over time mechanic. And that's with Amarr Assault at level 5, without it the gun is more of a hindrance.

The tac AR has the exact same rate of fire as the scrambler rifle (600 RPM), and more damage (not factoring the charge shot).
SCR can only shoot around 24 shots before overheating, plus overheating (which is much worse than having to reload since you can't switch weapons or sprint). Without the Amarr assault's heat reduction bonus, the number of shots you can fire before overheating is substantially less.
The range difference between the tac AR and the SCR is like 5 meters.

Tac AR might be OP already, why would we want to buff it? |

I might agree on the rof part so tags it could match the ion pistol but it would be wierd.

600 rpm is the absolute fastest a person can press a button in average. You're asking for modded controller exploit

And yet I still have problems sometimes with these weapons because I can get up past 700 sometimes.
The hardest part about choosing an RPM is that the average button presses might be 600, but any two button presses can be way higher, or lower (because we are human, not robots who can have the exact amount of space in between every press)
So the higher it is, the smoother the gun fires...but too high and people with modded controllers will abuse it.

Here's a video of how fast I can usually press a button for example: https://youtu.be/Rq_yXzYl0qM I'm speaking in average of course, some can reach higher than 600 rpm, some can't even reach it. I remember when the ScR had 45 in the mag and had 700 rpm, the modded controller users were a nightmare to deal with, low average ehp didn't help back then

I use the tac rifle everyday, sometimes, 48 hours straight. none of you have a clue. 50rpm more rof, reload speed reduction, clip size increase, and 20m more range. I'm not asking for an hp increase. just a useability increase. If it was soooooo goooood right now how come there are only 5 people using it right now. I'm putting in my requests now for the upcoming gallente weapon buff.

you're clueless. programmable keyboards are rampant in dust and are the biggest culprit. every modded controller on the market is specifically calibrated for COD and doesn't work perfectly with any dust weapon. Go buy one and learn something

Either way, controller or keyboard, what does it matter? They can't buff the weapon because modded items will exploit the TAR.
