So if I have a positive opinion of something it means I feel it stands up on its own merits. If someone were to tell me "your public opinion will be X" I would tell them where they can put it rather cheerfully.

The fact that you imply that people including Kevall and Cross might be "stooges," however, strikes me as unwarranted.

Cross has about my tolerance level for B.S. Kevall probably wouldn't be wasting time with this if that was the case. I've interacted with most of the CPM In comms and squad. Expectations of stoogehood would realisticallbe met with EXTREME hostility by the majority of CPM1 and the candidates I'm talking to regularly to see if we are capable of working together.

The only reason I'm subjecting myself to this is I don't believe Rattati expects me to be Johnny McYesMan. If he did I'd have been eliminated entirely from the running by the CCP community team and you wouldn't be able to vote for me.

This is the first time I have voted in a CPM election so I thought it was a 1 person = 1 vote thing. 1 person = 7 votes is so much better. well...1 person equals 1 vote still, it just is that you rank which candidates your votes would most likely go to. It's why I'm not pushing the AV/tank agenda. Depending on If/how much gets adopted and where the meta chips fall will determine how much I push to deflate vehicle costs. But until word comes on a balance change I'm waiting to see where the chips fall. I'm not married to my proposal, which was bluntly based on the sagaris vs forge gun meta and adjusted to include all AV weapons and expanding to include a few more theoretical. But it's more about the method of setting a benchmark for solid defenses that was the point of the proposal. The concept was based on a solid (not maximized at cost of all else) fits. Then balance the AV guns on how long the devs intend it to take to kill an HAV with the hardeners up solo. The TTK can be pushed up or down at will that way. But I feel that setting a balance PROCESS is more useful than "nerf X, buff Y, and tweak Z. WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. Maruders in their original iteration were just tanks, only better. There was no real role expansion. It's why I liked the DHAV/UHAV model idea at least in theory. Making specialist tanks instead of steroidal gunnlogi/madrugar that we have to rebalance AV for... AGAIN. Dropships need love as much as HAVs. LAVs are too costly for cheap transport and fast attack. LP store is actually Cross' baby. I intend to support his efforts there rather than stepping on his d*ck. There's more than 4 weapons that need parity. There's heavy weapons missing two full racials. Rifles are all over the map for what is missing where. Light AV has what, two serious options like heavy. And there's a lack of racially themed support weapons. Will there be effort? Absolutely. To continue my last post helping rattati set up a balance METHOD, and clear methods for setup, refinement and execution (I'm willing to do scutwork to help things like his HP/SPEED ratios work when applied to other things) are hella important. If you have a method for adjusting balance then when you find an issue you turn the knob, dial the numbers up or down and let the results come out. Balance should be simplified, not dragged out into a godawful ordeal. And if balance parameters are solidly established? Adding new things becomes potentially less torturous.
