I just did 3x die to nothing! Ride around in a saga, and I start losing health like crazy for absolutely no reason!
In a Methana, hot a pebble, explode!

Seriously... Sh*t... eh, this is arguable.
The original physics had the LAV level out everything automatically - enabling you to go max speeds pretty much over any terrain. The new physics added *At uprising* made it so LAV's couldn't just ride wherever they pleased. CCP Logic Loop - may he be fired forever - designed the maps so that LAV can pretty much get into every nook and cranny. Before they added in these physics LAV's were monsters in the right hands.
Imagine my murder taxi that could let me just drive as fast as i wanted in any direction and be mostly assured of my escape? These physics make it so knee jerk stuff like that can send you toppling.
If you use roads, nothing to bump you around, which is what roads are for. If you off-road it - then you're supposed to bump around. |

When you die to nothing, there is no argument. They're supposed to be attack vehicles, but they don't even serve as proper transport.
The saga has 600 shields, 450 armor. What the hell is that? That's infantry level health!
I'm not talking about their speed physics. I'm talking about their collision detection physics. They should be like actual jeeps and have some off-road potential enough to not die whilst driving over even terrain.

Still, though! Pebbles are too hot! They must be nerfed! It's the reason my LAVs keep in blowing up!

And often times my LAV hits an invisible wall because the terrain didn't render evenly so i hit the tip of a just rendering terrain sending my LAV flying all over the ******* place, lol. Sometimes it just randomly blows up from it. xD |

My biggest two issues is how easily they roll. If you even look at an uneven patch of ground you will flip. At least they seemed to have made the LAV's end right side up most of the time, and switching seats seems to flip it over without getting out if you do land on your side.
The bigger issue however is the speed, it's pathetic. Very few maps have a long stretch of straight flat ground where you can really hit your top speed. The acceleration is so slow without a fuel injector you might as run if your in anything but a heavy suit. By the time the LAV"s drops in (which can take a while if there is a long que of vehicles) you'd already be at the objective. Add to that your engine has all the horse power of a lawn mower engine. Any kind of slight incline or hill and your back down to nothing in terms of speed.
For all the people's arguments of this being the far future with amazing technology their cars drive like a 2 stroke diesel. |

For all the people's arguments of this being the far future with amazing technology their cars drive like a 2 stroke diesel. I spend much of my lav time on two wheels. I also come to a complete stop and look both ways before entering a socket-don't want to go flying through the floor into null space and explode. You don't have to get out of your lav to flip it if it is upside down. Change seats and it will flip itself right side up. Your welcome.

I love it when you brake hard to avoid a collision, but the momentum value doesn't actually change until you stop completely.
So you barely hit the back of a HAV going like 2mph and bam, instant death.

That is what I'm taking away from this thread too. +1 for pointing out the important things :)
I'm partially joking, vehicle physics needs looking at and being able to say fucks is wonderful.

Unless of course for some reason you get road killed by your LAV when you jump out. Some how you appear in front of it, and die instantly despite it not going full speed. Yet when you hit an enemy at less than full speed they just take a little bit of damage.
