One problem I have with this game is there is no vehicle dedicated to fighting infantry. Tanks can, but according to Rattati they aren't supposed to. Tanks are supposed to be AV, but if there is no vehicle that excels at killing infantry, there is no reason for tanks to be AV.
So let's make LAVs into good infantry killers. A dedicated crew should be hell to infantry, and as it is, they aren't hard at all to counter with swarms or forges. So let's add in a skill that gives LAVs bonuses that improve their AP abilities.
Caldari LAV: 5% reduction in small turret pg/cpu per level, 10% bonus to small missile splash radius per level Gallente LAV: 5% reduction to small turret pg/cpu per level, 10% bonus to hybrid turret heat buildup per level
This makes LAVs good at killing infantry, and become glass cannons, who can deal out some damage but can't take a lot of punishment. MAkes them more than just a quick transport for heavies.

how about: 10% per level increase in swarm launcher lock on time, 10% reduction in AV grenade damage per level.
defensive bonuses for the flimsy ass LAVs. Also undo the small blaster dispersion change (when they made them like HMGs)
also introduce an LTV: light tranport vehicle. More durable, carries 4, no gun. |

I always preferred Dark tooth or Minion myself. Even crimson fury would be nice.

In any case, I think we need a vehicle that's purpose is the slaying of infantry. Give tanks a reason to be AV.

Assault LAV with forward facing gun isn't good idea (how do you aim?). Maybe make special module that allows driver to change control mode without changing seat: mode 1 - driving(same as now) mode 2 - aiming and shooting with turret
and controls are freezed for current mode when driver changes mode Here is example of what I mean ^ : (assuming that "mode change" button is L1) ex1: LAV drivers forward, driver presses L1 and switches to turret, LAV still drives forward ex2: driver rotates turret and at same time presses L1, turret continue to rotate ex3: driver start shooting in turret mode and presses L1, turret still shoots, now driver can drive LAV with autoshooting turret
And turret must be rotated relative to LAV(I mean, if LAV turns 90 degrees, then turret turns 90 degrees too)
Long things short: add module that removes gunner seat, but adds ability to control turret from driver seat next way: driver becomes able to switch controls to turret and back to driving, when one mode active other mode remembers last pressed buttons(so if you drive forward and use brake when change to turret mode, LAV will still behave as if you still hold these buttons, if you fired turret when changed to driving mode, turret will still fire and etc)
