with myofibril stimulants... would they still attract so much hatred among the forums? Or is it the general idea of being able to jump higher than a meter that is the source of the hatred towards these modules as they currently stand?
What? Am I mad? Why do you ask?

I stopped even trying to kill jumpers...
If you are not in a jump suit yourself, you will be splashed to death..
Beyond annoying.
If I'm back from the heat with my elm7 however, jump away lil froggy. I'll guide you to safety with my light.

Did you ever play Mortal Kombat in the SNES? You know those people who would just tap the punch button and have it actually work for them?
Yeah, I have the same feeling back then as I do about jumpers. Both super annoying and lacking in skill, as well as easy to kill if you know what your doing. They get lucky more then anything and that's where people get upset.

I sent you a message over the chat saying I was in a match, then when I got out, you were in one and I was frustrated from the stomps so I just signed off. :<

TOASTY
You said it perfectly, sometimes I can get lucky and kill a leaper that was just 7 meters in front of me... But not as often as just seeing exo5 in the killfeed...

The mass driver attracts it's own hatred.
The combination you speak of makes it too easy for scrubs. They can kill you in the open, behind cover, or from anywhere really. The only useful tactic against them is panic fire, spray and pray, or running away... which in most cases they're faster?!

If you eqiup 3 blue bottles on a MI commando with Agimus and shoot under your feet (after a jump) you take full damage. ****, that thing has a blast.

Meh. It's difficult, but not impossible. Most of the time they used all their high slots to get maximum jumping, and can be easily taken down if you know how to move. I'm not saying it isn't annoying, cause it is, especially when outnumbered. But it can be countered. Even alone

Just a few days ago I made a thread proposing a compromise mechanic to the jumping and about half the people who responded were on board with the changes I proposed the other half were either ambivalent, dismissive, or against the proposal.
As far as I'm concerned the issue with the jumping isn't the height it is the frequency. If you're bouncing about like a bunny it is more than a bit ridiculous and seems to degrade the myofibril jumping as an acceptable tactic. My plan was to limit the frequency of the jumps to force their use to be more carefully considered.
I think the use of AoE weapons definitely exacerbates people's frustration but the underlying problem is the rapid high bouncing.
Now with more evil.

it killed me therefore it is OP
myos always did a crap ton of melee damage but only now people are complaining about it due to its increase in popularity
the jump height isn't even a problem you are just as easy to hit if not easier since you cant dictate where you land after leaving the ground meaning you are easy to track
explosives have always been spammed and will always be spammed
myos and explosive combination may seem OP but in reality you expose yourself a lot more (high risk high reward)
I don't really use explosives with myos due to primarily using shields and fall damage (I hate fall damage) but they are essential when I am trying to counter roof top campers or destroy hard to reach uplinks, the nerf to myos made it harder but you can still get up most buildings if you know how
the source of the hate is the fact that a lot of people cant aim without the help of AA so when someone jumps out of the FoV they get mad

Tapping the punch button is still actually a very effective form of competitive fighting games called "cut offs" based on the fact that jabs and low kicks have very low frames and are able to inflict damage faster and more directly than full combi strings or special moves.
What I believe you're referring to is called "button mashing", and any reliable, effective simple way of winning a fight in DUST is what you're referring to, but...exploiting is an actual skill in this game lol.

The use of Mass Drivers and PC's on myofibril equipped suits just seems to be the thing I've noticed most people pointing out. I brought the topic up because I noticed PS2 had the jetpacks, which functioned almost exactly the same as the myofibrils, yet I don't think everyone in that game is complaining about those and I was wondering why... probably over thinking it though, the "It killed me therefore it is OP" statement likely fits.
What? Am I mad? Why do you ask?
