Wanted to start off by saying these two vids are unlisted and are only visible here.

I realize you have been working hard on the matchmaking ccp with the new matchmaker and all.
The thing that made me capture this for you was when I played a battle that was 12 vs 3 and right away my two teammates left making the battle 12 vs ME.
Now instead of your matchmaker adding the 4 new players that came into the battle on my team they added the players to the team with 12 making it 16 vs 1 / ME.
I am a very active player and have been noticing this way too much lately. Lets say its 12 vs 8 a little more even, then the matchmaker will add any new players to the team with 12 for example making it 16 vs 8 then the team with 8 players are like thats BS and they start to leave. Making it like 16 vs 4 then eventually 16 vs 2 and so on.
I really think the only problem with your new matchmaking is it is simply adding new players to the wrong team. Its adding the new players to the team that already has too many players instead of adding them to the shorthanded team.
If you could tweak it so those new players get added to the shorthanded team via and 'else if' code it would greatly improve your matchmaking and would virtually remove all those boring battles that mercs are complaining about.
I am just trying to help and with all my hours playing the game I noticed that is what was happening much to often.
Just trying to help, I miss those 16 vs 16 battles have been playing way too many 12 vs 4 battles etc etc...
Hopefully you all agree so we can maybe get this new matchmaker dialed in to perfection.

Also please post your thoughts and recommendations, from my game play I have noticed everything mentioned above what about you guys n gals?
Lets try and get this thread noticed otherwise I fear we are going to be struggling with 16 vs 2 battles all too often. Unless you all like playing those type of battles but I thought dust was suppose to be 16 vs 16 not 16 vs 2.

Yes I realize NA server is not as colorful, but that is not the issue as the automatic server is very colorful and it happens there very often as well, same with europe and asia.
Its the issue of the matchmaker adding players to the wrong team. It adds players just fine but it is now more noticeable that its adding players to the wrong team instead of adding players to the shorthanded team which it should be doing.
If you have not noticed this issue then you dont play Dust enough and if you have noticed this issue then you feel my pain...

I've been encountering the same problem just about everyday. In fact there was a game where there was 13 and 0!!! We had to sit through it too to get any points if you had happened to get any in the first place! I do hope they can sort that out a little better but in the mean time I will stay when there is only three of us and in truth i will stay if it is only me because it is definitely a new challenge lol!

Thanks for your feedback, I too try and stay in battles even when its 16 vs me but there comes a time when you just gotta say to urself this aint how the game is suppose to be.
Lets get those awesome 16 vs 16 battles back guys!

I suggest corps make a rule, never leave... Solo, sync or whatever, lose one person from squad during match have them run one solo then regroup. When high mu chars leave it destroys the round leaving noobs in vs high mu team that's left.

that's what kills DUST, either you're launched into a game with half a team or half the team quit anyway, then when you end the game it's 50/50 whether or not you'll be stuck on the victory screen! |

Yes i guess it does kill dust in a way but i am hoping they will get it dialed in very soon, ccp has great staff and will address problems most gaming companies wont, which is why they are #1 in my books.
The victory screen freeze happens now n then but it eventually loads after 3 minutes taking you back to your mcc quarters.

I noticed it to CCP the very first day they released their buggy matchmaking "patch" but they haven't done anything unfortunately... it is really annoying and, I believe, simple to fix.

that match i played with you yesterday, you had a full squad and if i remember correctly it was me, Bell GATOR and pinsan in a squad vs you. Great game indeed, very balanced...both teams fought hard, i got 498k ISK payout from that. You must have lost a lot of ISK using that proto sentinel , i went 30/3 and went ISK positive w/ proto

See how much players like full team battles :) ^ I love them too win or lose which is why we need more of them back. Those battles come once a day if iam lucky, I play a lot but sadly they dont happen as much as they use to or should be happening.
As for my isk and losing money I am not a scrub like some nor am I a KD carebare like yourself. I have billions worth of isk and assets so dying 10 times a battle literally means nothing to me its like spittin in a bucket, dont even think twice.
I would say I get about 7 or 8 not so good battles for every good battle like minimum 14 vs 14.
If you guys like the matchmaking thats fine but I will continue to upload videos of horrible team numbers. like 16 vs me, or 15 vs 3 those are not battles there a waste of time.

well here we go again, someone starting sh*t with me because they got their ass handed to them. I don't care how much ISK you have, i you had none you would struggle going ISK positive with ADV dying 11 times. I really was not a KD carebear...first one to the point, hacked the CRU 3 times, flanked the enemy several times which is not what a KD care bear would do
anyway we need more fights like that; 1-2 squads fighting it out for the point
i also find the majority of redline battles are because the map only has 1 socket NOT in the redline

Me and the guys I usually role with don't leave battles unless it's for non-battle related reasons.
Like someone d/c's or someone just got on as we were going in and needed a squad.
My pride won't let me leave D:

Why didnt you stay and fight it out. Let me guess you dc'd most common excuse in the book.
Anyways we do agree that the matchmaking is not quite right :)

Squads of 4 make it very hard if there were pub squads of 16 my sqd would be full every battle.
Plus q syncs hardly ever work when dealing with pubs.

i usually check my invites after a death, if i see a good player i leave and join.

Thats what our corp does but when your in battles with other corps they either leave or the matchmaker does not add enough players to the proper side thats short handed. :(
The matchmaker works great, the only problem is it tends to add players to the wrong side too often.
You will never be able to stop players from leaving battles, what counts is how quickly the matchmaker adds players to replace the ones that leave but even more important is that the matchmaker adds the players to the short handed team.
That then becomes a perfect matchmaker.
