Hi all,
I'm making this post to announce that after serious deliberation, I unfortunately won't be running for CPM2 this year. It's the responsibility of any CPM candidate to put a sincere effort towards figuring out if their personal schedule will support CPM duties for the full length of her/his potential tenure. I received some information recently that makes me think that my schedule won't likely have enough time in it to perform CPM duties at the level the community deserves.
I'd like to thank everyone who considered voting for me this year. It means a lot to me.
Leaving the race doesn't mean I'll be leaving the discussion. It's still my conviction that refocusing our community efforts on resolving long term design problems, broadening the CCP-community discussion so that community feedback actually influences which "Jesus-features" get priority, and quashing dysfunction on the CPM are all critical community objectives that need to be pursued to promote Dust's growth. I'll be looking to fill my ballot this year with the remaining candidates who stand a chance of getting that done.

Sad to see you leave the candidate list, Leither. Your insights will be missed. I hope to see you on the forums and harassing CPM2 regularly.

That's unfortunate that you are pulling out and it highlights the exact maturity and forethought i knew you would bring to the CPM if elected.
I appreciate that you made the call and stepped back before the election kicked off...few would have done that.
I echo Ripley's comments that I certainly hope you will continue to be a representative of progress for the community.

I am disappointed to see you pull out, as you would have been on my ballad, but I completely understand why you had to step back.
I too would really like to run for CPM, but I just don't think I could make the time commitments. Not that I don't have enough time, it is more that due to inflexibility in my schedule I don't think I could make time at the times I would be needed.
I do think though that those members of the community, like us, who consistently provide useful feedback in a productive and positive manner, tend to get enough attention from the Devs to have influence over the course of DUST development even if we don't have the ability to look behind the black curtain.
