This morning when I signed into dust, I received a message stating that my apex serpents Scout had been removed. I unlocked the suit by stealing into it just like every other suit in the progression system, which then gave me the option to claim it just like the other suits. By claiming the suit after skilling into it I followed the progression system and earned the suit. You have no right to take it from me, because never once did I violate any eula agreement. Return my suits to me, or legal action will be taken. It is not my fault that y'all are unable to program your game.

Same situation here. They really like screwing me over. FYI giving me more strongboxes is not compensation since I have 4,500 already.

The Serpent scout being given for free was obviously unintended, and therefore a temporary exploit. It makes sense that they were removed. It's a fair decision considering alot of players actually grinded to pay for it legitimately. |

Ya, when you claim 5 instead of 1 this means it's working as intended.

You didn't find it odd that all of a sudden an APEX suit that would have otherwise cost you $30 or 100,000LP+10 million ISK or 35 million ISK was suddenly being handed out for free like candy?
It was clearly a glitch that was never intended to be there.

It was clearly a glitch that was never intended to be there. It's not my fault that they failed to properly program their game, I did not glitch or hack and received the suit through the system they put in place, therefore entirely legal and to take it was in violation of their own policies

It was a bug that slipped into the game. CCP had every right to remove the suits erroneously awarded. All APEX suits are obtained by purchase with AUR. What you SHOULD have found odd was that it was only the APEX serpent scout suit that could be unlocked. It was the only APEX suit falling into that category.

If he found it odd, it still doesn't change the argument. Even though it was unintended, it was legally obtained by players.
Why would any of you support CCP taking back the suits? Do cloaked shotgunners bother you that much? They could have left if as compensation for all the other things they've dicked up recently.
Stating the obvious does not constitute a valid argument or defense. Fairness is a matter of opinion. Breaking policy is a matter of fact.
Always ready for Gallente FW or ambush. Stack ISK, SP, and LP. Lookin' for chill people to squad up 0200-0600.

Draconic, if CCP had every right to take them. It was an unintended exploit, which then people sold them making profit off of an exploit. I was all for them taking it back. Not due to "cloaked shotgunners" as you said (I have a Federation Serpent for that) but due to the fact that a logical person would normally see that a suit that is $20 to $30 of real money, is all of a sudden "free". Pure logic will tell you it's not right, considering ever other Apex in the entire game must be purchased with Aurum, not free. If people are so butthurt about losing a Serpent Scout, get your @ss in FW and earn one. Simple.

Regardless if it was their fault or not, you should have exercised common sense. Thankfully, I never got a chance to claim my own free APEX serpent scout because they fixed the bug pretty quickly as soon as someone mentioned it on the forums. But even if I did have the chance to claim them, I would have never have sold them and just held onto them so that CCP can take them from me.
They were free, so it's not like it cost you anything to get them.

Please read the EULA again:
Section 10B wrote: You have no interest in the value of your time spent playing the Game, e.g., by the building up of the experience level of your character and the items your character accumulates during your time playing the Game. Your Account, and all attributes of your Account, including without limitation all corporations, actions, groups, titles and characters, and all objects, currency and items acquired, developed or delivered by or to characters as a result of play through your Accounts, are the sole and exclusive property of CCP, including any and all copyrights and other intellectual property rights in or to any and all of the same, all of which are hereby expressly reserved.
So basically and technically, you don't own anything in this game and CCP has the right to modify anything on your DUST 514 account and character.
In other words, it wasn't a "violation of their own policies".
EDIT: Added quote from Draconic Presence.
