So Ive noticed that useing Proto in pubs keeps new players from easyer games from comeing back to this one. ive told n had ppl play this game in real life with me. the problem as i see it is to many with Proto/Apex and while i understand that we have earned to right to use them as we rightfully should! but i challange you to create a new profile is you can. go back to basics (better yet milita) n see how much your skills matter against what u use, this is not for the faint of heart but think CoD BF anyshooter game has a set level of thing u can use and thats what makes Dust better then them is about lvl n kills n time u have put in to your profile. my question isnt why do you use proto in PUBs but more along the lines of if you love the new ideas n game play that this brings, well why use your best? now i use proto as well but thats just to keep up, but really how can anyone do better if all the new players or casual players get stomped? what if we took it back to how it was?? if u bust out proto in pubs u are labled a try hard in a game mode where your just trying to have fun? ? i get that this post wont reach many ppl....they will call me a cry baby or scrub. but i love this game and will stop using PRO in pubs, i wish for this game to have more ppl play but that wont happen with everyone busting out PRO in a PUB but really even with money? i play a Ambush OMS a bit ago n my team was proto. i wasnt as it was on my new....less then a 1/4 of the way threw them other team left all exept 5 by the end it was 3 now our team had full 1/4 of the way threw n less then 8 by the end...all they cared about were kills. but didnt stick it threw cuz they wouldnt have gotten 30+ n i hope that this plea for sanity will reach even a few ppl... otherwise this game with be Dust...
Again plz take up the task of a new profile go threw what newbs do on an every match either u get few kills n die alot or get few kills n few deaths cuz u got luck to be on the right team.
im not saying that u still couldnt do good but really try to kill a proto fit with milita fit. For the future of Dust. n for the CMP canidates this would be a must. maybe lag will be fixed if we try to get more ppl in for the long haul rather then jut to kill.
any feed back as to how we can help dust grow to be more popular would be great, how to keep tabs on ppl who use proto because they have earned it but are using it to drive new players away.... For DUST for Glory and hopefully for the future which seems as bleak as some plants right now 87

For me it always comes down the the same similar concept I adopt for online game, especially my personal favourites like the Souls Series which actively pitted competitive invaders against casual adventurers all of varying levels, with varying equipment and weapon options, and at different stages of the game.
"I'm not responsible in any way for another player enjoying the game. I can and will attempt within the spirit of the game to make it as enjoyable for them as myself but will not compromise to the point where my enjoyment of the game suffers."
That being said I don't go into public matches often and I do have a general rule of thumb about using BPO's and such in those kinds of matches to make as large and ISK gain as possible. Pubs are laughable matches at best. No cohesion, no purpose, no value, no desire to play them.
Though I did drop a Gk.0 into a pub match on Manus Peak after I saw Chance's Ghost in the match with me....but he was on my team and I spent more time ramming him and throwing off his aim than I did attempting to score kills..... I did get labelled a try hard by a particularly 'sore' AVer which made my night.

E.G- People throw the term 'honour' around a lot in those games. This concept means so many different things to so many different people. I don't observe the tenets of honour in the souls series in any way unless I agree to it prior to a duel. I actively enjoy making duelists cry, using sneaky and underhanded tactics, and punishing adventurers for trying to get through the levels on the merits of their phantoms. What I loved more than that though was counter-griefing in low level areas.... Gravelord, plus Greatscythe, plus dead angles, plus Parish = 99 EoD's in the span of two hours.

TL;DR = If I want to use it I will for no other reason than because I damn well can. However most of the time I won't.
Excellent point. Fun > everything else.
Now with more evil.

EXATCLY it should be fun for your self. but my point is that if ppl get destoryed in matches repeadtly after getting the game are they gonna come back to it?? while the ppl who stick around are fans what if everyone went easier in PUBs maybe we would have more of a player base then we do now granted some one them dont like it due to lag. but maybe if we as player showed more of an intrest in the future players of this game CCP would be willing to put more ppl on it to fix the problems we d have....ive gotten ppl to download it before n 7/10 dont ply it again because the kills they do get are lucky at best if not down right i suddenly got the drop on this guy put a full clip in him and had to switch to secondary just to kill the one guy that i saw kill tons of ppl like it was nothing.. idk id like to think im making a reasonable point. idk maybe its to late for this game but maybe we can change something we do so new players can do better i still suggest a week of a new profile just to remeber if nothing else where u started from. it has humbled me greatly

STD gear works just fine in pubs.
If I drop proto, it means I got ganked one too many times by a stomp squad and have decided that murdering them is a fun idea.
Or it means that a tank more powerful than a G-1 maddy has been deployed.
Or it means I'm doing something stupid like rep tanking a sentinel for the funzies. Rep tanking an amsent or stacking multiple energizers/rechargers just never gets old.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

Got a standard sentinel suit and it's now all I use in pubs. Went 20 kills-15 assists-10 deaths yesterday in this suit against Pub Stompers in Protos. Whomever you are that was running that CK.O with Kaalakiota RR. Did you like getting merc'd by a 7,000 ISK Suit Fit

You will commonly find me in a 22-34k suit, adv with adv on adv with a sprinkle of MLT bpo.
I do well in my std fits but they are squishy.
My latest fave is an adv amass with trip krins and an elm 7. I put two shield regs on it to be a dingleberry and I keep averaging a 15 5 5 killboard with it.
Lol

So when the newer guys finally get the SP and ISK to run proto after all that time grinding they are going to get told not to use it?

You really expect 0% of this community to behave as advantage seizing, exploit using tryhards
You are obviously new here.
They'll say they will with their mains and then log off and get on their alts (if they bother to switch at all)
I'd rather die than live down on my knees.......
