I would like to request that nanohives with armor repair have a different color/symbol on the map than their ammo exclusive partners and uplinks so that they are more easily recognizable by friendlies that need them.
Also, the player that sets the armor rep nanohive should receive extra points for when armor of teammates is repaired. |

Im in favour of a slightly different symbol. Maybe even just add a little + to the top right corner of the current symbol. Something like that.
From what I understand, you DO already get points for armor repaired. I think it has to be something like 25% of their suit repped though before points kick in. You wont get anything for repping 1hp. |

I'd actually like to see the armor repairs removed from nanohives altogether. I've found it's pretty much impossible for anyone to kill me if I stack two armor hives together and dance on top of them. I've never been sold on them being able to do anything more than return ammo, and even then I think they resupply at way too fast a rate for some weapons.
If you want your armor repaired, you should be finding a logibro with a repair tool. Nanohives being able to repair armor simply lessen the importance of logistics teammates. Unless it was changed so that only logistics suits could use these variants, or the logistics suit natively gave a bonus to nanohives they threw down. (The latter seems like it would be somewhat broken)
If anyone can be a mock 'logibro' simply by equipping these nanohives, it makes it much less of an incentive for people to train up logistics. Less incentives for people to actually train logistics is a very bad thing. Logistics players are the unsung heroes. You want people to take this role whenever possible. They are champions, and even if their stats are terrible, logibros are what win fights.

I do agree nova that i toucld become a problem if people could just stack tons of hives on top of each other. However, they can be destroyed with a few well aimed shots or grenade etc.
As for logi, just looking forward to getting to test them properly now ive got my prototype one.
Oh and agree with OP on differant symbol would be nice. |

A small change that would definetly be welcome.
Also, as far as stacking a pile of armor nanohives, we could have multiple nanohives interfere with each other, nullifying any regeneration bonus (armor or ammo) in the area of the bubble that overlaps with another bubble, kind of like how trying to run two cloaks in Eve interfere with each other, or just allow the effect of the greater nanohive to continue and overlap the lesser one.
That, or if you see a pile of nanohives, blow them up. Grenade, forge gun, sneezing, they all work. |

I'm gonna disagree to the extent that even in other games that have "mad heelz" they usually still have some sort of potion or injection that individuals can incorporate into their build. The hives have a set duration do they not? They have a finite amount of copies that can be carried onto the battlefield by any one person do they not? I'm asking because I really don't know. Am I not? hehe |

You get 2 for every equipment spot you spend. So, most higher end suits can get four nanohives.
The problem is, if people put their nanohives in good spots, they are very hard to shoot or nail with a grenade. If anyone has seen where I usually hang out on communication maps (Not the highest roof, but the raised platforms along the path near the west gate. Good look nailing those nanohives with a grenade, it'd take an excellent cooked throw, and when I'm up there it's almost impossible for someone to kill me without a couple really lucky shots.

I assumed they were on a timer. |

No timer, they remain until destroyed or the person who threw them dies. |
