Some sort of indicator on screen that would show up if your character is in the proximity of a grenade and will be dealt damage. This would be really helpful as I've been killed many times by grenades without knowing there was even one near me. Thanks. |

Indeed, that would be very useful. At least they are fairly easy to see when thrown from the direction you are looking. To bad teammates like to get in the way when running for your life. |

No. If you don't see or hear it, you should never know it is there. These indicators are an incredibly lame mechanic in pretty much every game that has it. It's fine in singleplayer campaigns, but has no business being in multiplayer.
There is a pretty clear visual and auditory cue when a grenade is nearby. You can both see someone preparing to throw a grenade (They hunch over and no longer appear to be holding a gun) and there is a pretty loud beep associated with throwing it. They also clink a bit when they bounce on most surfaces. There is a thing called situational awareness. If you don't have it in a shooter, you're going to die. A lot.

well seeing as grenades are in the game to kill people this would make since. I vote no grenade indicator, if you did not see the grenade (which I see without issue all the time) then it is your fault for not paying attention and you should die. |

If I see it, I run.
If I don't, I die.
Working as intended. |

Agreed. Its fine as is. If you dont see the person throwing it or notice its there its your own fault imo.
Though i will concede that perhaps the actual gfx model of the nade could be slightly bigger in game, i can imagine them being very hard to spot on sd/small tv's.

The grenades are hard to see in the game right now and i rarely hear any sound given off when they land or anything. this could be due to the terrible lag that's happening right now.
Someone else created a similar thread to this one asking for an indicator, and someone had a good comment that the indicator could be introduced as a skill, or as a dropsuit module that would take up a slot. It's a good idea and makes sense that such a high tech suit would be able to detect a grenade that's in proximity. |
