Title says it.
@ 09:18 EVE TIME, I finished a match where it was completly one sided. Now weither or not these players on my team are noobs or not, I do not know; however, I've never heard, seen or play with them before.
I am playing on a new born character too. So, this adds to the frustration that players are not being matched with SP level equivilents. I'd rather play a 8v8 map that has been condensed than sit through battles like this, attempting to gain SP and isk on my new character.
Is the MatchMaker even still being worked on? I have not seen that much improvement in this for PUBLIC Contracts since that last drop. I understand the small development team, so no need to bother mentioning it.
Please consider creating maps that are smaller and 8v8 supported. As this would probably help. Dunno but I thought I'd through this frustration out there in GD.

I don't think that matchmaking is being worked on these days....
Very often I get lobsided matches, mostly with Domination...
Heck, in pubs Doms are the only matches I get... and if I select only skirmish it takes ages to get a match =ƒÿP
A baseline for today? How about an acidbassline!

All I get whenever I que is Domination anymore. I have no idea why. If I take it out of my que so I'm only queuing Acq, Skirm, and Ambush, I'll scotty from waiting too long.

I think one of the main problems is that there are not enough gamers playing this game for matchmaking to work. I personally think the best fix for this is to have singles vs singles & teams vs teams.

I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea, but it divides the playerbase even more and makes you que longer...

Played 5 games yesterday after two weeks away from my PS3. One was pretty good and four were tragic. I don-¦t mind shooting against quality players. As a matter of fact I like it. But I need two full squads for this to work. It-¦s difficult to cause some serious damage when you play 6 against 16 and 3 out of those 6 are camping behind the redline.

CCP Shanghai... Working on a matchmaker EST 2012.
The Studio is a fail studio.... 99% of the people there are goofing around with VR for a hardware platform that 90% of gamers can't afford... and will be niche for 10 years.
Let the game go.... It isn't going to get better, Further CCP Shanghai has proven through actions and time that they don't have the capacity or the expertise to make it better.
The CCP we once knew that was founded by passionate game developers is gone.... There is only 1 member left at CCP from that original CCP.... Hilmar.... CCP Veritas was the last to leave... And like most of their most talented developers, he left for Riot games.
CCP was bought out by an investment firm chaired by the richest person in Iceland. They don't care about creating art.. Creating a game by gamers for gamers... They care about maximizing profits. All the big development features for EVE online have been canceled or put on hold...
CCP just is no longer the company the vast majority on these forums think they are.... anymore... They aren't far off from EA... Except the share holders bought into the investment firm that then runs CCP. Hilmar only owns 5%... He is only an installed figure head to placate the lazy and stupid to the reality of what CCP is today.
Go Grab a PS4.... Pick up Elder Scrolls Online... And join the DUST veteran population in a giant PVP battle of 300 vs 300 vs 300 in an open world with minimal lag.... Something CCP tricked us all into believing they could with their EVE resume. |

I've discovered a trick that actually helps matchmaking considerably.
It's called un-check domination
Domination is so fundamentally unbalanced it's silly. I've been playing Acquisition lately and it makes for much closer matches

Even established FPS developers have struggled with the idea for years. Matchmaking involves making predictions on how many players will be available and choosing actions accordingly. The more players there are the more connections and so it is likelier that there will be a lot of people with similar connections and close geographic positions.
When there is less players, such as in Dust 514, often players from different regions and less than perfect connections need to be placed in certain matches. This introduces latency. Another issue is that connections will always be favored over statistics. That means that often strong players will be placed against weak players because they have similar connections. This is better than placing similarly skilled players with different connections against each other. In the latter situation latency will make it difficult to fight each other because it will be difficult to attack or defend against the enemy.
Because connection is such an issue is Dust 514 matchmaking based on connection is far more important than than that based on skill. Rarely will the matchmaker take skill into play because skill only weighs in when there are multiple people with similar connections.

Can we just have random matchmaking with everyome devided equally(based on rank and kdr/wp/sp) into the two teams?(equal amounts of "skilled players are placed on each team",determined by the above method)
32 people are put into battle. Then the system splits them into the 2 teams and names are hidden till after the battle is over.(killfeed still shows names,we just hide corp names to prevent quitters) that and the get 40-50-60% isk cost of any suit or vechicle you kill and maybe we can give dust a better chance of surviving(more new players fighting for that cash and protostompers getting more of a challenge to deal agaisnt) and making it to a new platform(pc would be nice but not everyone has agood pc,ps4 means everyone is on a equal level via hardware but content will not be released the second ccp pushes the button)
All.i know is that the matchmaking is to set up for a LARGER playbase,and we dont have the former.
Need a speedy bro scout? Mail me,comes with shotgun and 20 pound bag of catnip for teh clonocide.(teh fak,cannot spell)
