I think I'm finally going to biomass Gaston so I can recreate him in the quarters he's supposed to have and then make him my main. You can all finally meet me and ***** me out for being a scrub in match. I made some poor SP decisions with him, anyway.
So what happens to forum characters when a biomass happens? I'm pretty sure posts aren't deleted, but it would be unfortunate if they are. I'm mostly just wondering what will happen if there's an active and inactive character with the same name and race on the forum. |

If you're gonna junk the character, you could instead ask for a transfer to the proper quarters... and buy a SP reset.

Not spending $20 on a character with less than a million SP. Don't want to wait however long to be moved to the proper quarters when I can just do it myself in ten hours.

Oh. with that little SP there's no problem then.
The posts will probably stay, but the name could get sniped if not careful. However, I think there is a name retention timer for your account before it's publicly released... or something like that.

Yeah, up until recently Gaston was an alt character that I never really used. I put him through a few matches because I thought people would laugh if they saw the name on their kill screen. I started liking the name more and more and the name of my main less and less, and now I want Gaston to be my main. But he's in Caldari or Gallente quarters, can't remember which.
And alright, duly noted. Do you have any idea how long the name might be locked away after character deletion? |

Not a real clue... I heard it would be about 2 hours or so (after bio timer ends) ... but the last time I checked into that was about 3 years ago when we transferred from the Beta forums to these forums.

You can't be transferred anymore... According to one of my help tickets they stopped moving people since Uprising 1.9... but they said they plan to make said option to come back in the future... So... sadly... Biomass is the only option... till you know... that said future comes...

Nope, not anymore. Me and GJR discussed it. It is split, half go to his locker room, the other half...well, they go to mine where they are forced to listen to me recite all of my posts, over and over and over again.

I'm afraid I don't know. It's not something that I've seen happen before.
