Proximity chat(hearing enemy or teammates in other squads voice chat on mics at close range). One of the reasons I played and strived to do good in MAG. Hearing the enemy rage over the mic or tv is a feeling of satisfaction like no other, and MAG players will know how I feel.
Like and show your support if you want this to become reality, we want CCP to notice this.
Great Proxy chat moment

although proxy chat is cool, it doesn't make sense in this game since everyone has huge full head covering tactical helmets and comlinks. |

Proxy chat is just too epic, if you have ever personally experienced it you will know why. There are other unrealistic things in this game so putting in proxy chat would not be a big deal, and will drastically enhance the gaming experience. |

Proxy chat is what brings the humanity into a game.
In EVE, everyone lieks to talk about the tears.
In proxy chat.... you can literally hear people's rage/complaints/insults as you kill them. You can talk smack to people while they bleed out at your feet, and you can also organise with other squads in proximity, without cluttering up your coms.
In creating a PLAYER CENTERED world, where players really ferel part of a living breathing world... its best to put living breathing characters that you can interact with. Or just joke around with and share a little "in the moment" joke with each other.
Proxy isn't just "something cool".... it enhances the "community" feel in a game, that makes a game have lasting power.

Hum, no, makes no sense, and in EVE no one hears the enemies chat, unless its a spy.
Comms are for planning and team organization.
Also... helmets. |

I think instead, they should stick to a more EVE-like approach, and have a certain skill tree that would allow a player to "hack" enemy comms, and listen in. This would be achieved by taking out some kind of "radar gun" or something of the sort, pointing it in the direction of some enemies, and being able to hear any communications they are having in game.
However, that said, it is likely that a lot of teams will be using teamspeak/ventrillo/etc. instead of in-games comms...
And also it's just unlikely they will include anything like this anyway. It seems like a lot of work, for little reward.
Edit: Also, perhaps allow the player to chime in on the comms, perhaps to feed false info? MMmmmmm I love where this is going...
Edit 2: maybe even give the guy points for successfully hacking enemy comms (maybe +15 per player or something?) |

It dosnt have to be a strategic part of game play. It was just a fun little feature included in MAG that brought real human character to the game, like Spankit said.
Everybody loves it, I don't see the problem with it, if people don't want the enemy to hear their plans, then let them not be careless when speaking around enemies. |

lol im not gonna be re-writing posts for it again on this thread while shutting down the naysayers too much time and energy spent on the last thread and squashed all the "cons" about "leaked" comms already |

Negative. I do not care what an enemy has to say to me beyond "gurgle, gulp, gasp, rattle". |
