there needs to be ejection seats for passengers. and im not just talkin about dumb blueberries that wont get out but acutal helpful teamates that just want a ride somewhere but dont understand momentum and bail out at the wrong time and miss their intended drop off point.

When you know you drop ship is about to bite the dust, pull up and try to drop out at the apex. avoid bailing out when you rmomentum will carry you into your ships flight path. also get you passengers out first. find your minimum safety threshold. also, angle toward safety , make sure their momentum won't carry them into the red line either.
me, i call out "bail" when i'm under 200 hp. gives me one more pulse of rep to manuever and just enough time to not kill my ejected passengers.

It really depends on how you're flying. In general if you're flying in some sideways orientation at speed, you'll probably be a smear.

As i, but it doesn't excuse lack of emergency ejection (in sci-fi fps) while you completely lose control of your dropship & unable even eject safely, instead you got killed by your own vehicle. Just think how stupid is that & we got it like that for years.
ADS avoiding several swarms, FGs, RGs. Sometimes you can't do nothing and react fast enough to amount of incoming dmg. As example 2 minmandos with proto swarms camping you more than enough, waiting till you get close, so can't escape + accumulating huge amount of WP (200-350 wp per DS). Even if you manage to stabilize flight path before loosing controls so you can jump out safely, there enemy infantry waiting you on the ground.
9-10 DS kills

If your still in your ship when it explodes, ya, you should prob die, this coming from a pilot. But I believe a proper incoming swarm detection needs to be in place first. Additional ways counter measures beside just running have also been desired for years by DS pilots.

Never been that big of an issue for me, can't say why but getting killed by my own falling dropship rarely happens.
But a real dropship pilot bails out throws down some more uplinks and catches a taxi back to base :D
