When the match starts the defenders should have a 30 second buffer to get into position. Instead of allowing both team to spawn at the same time let the defenders spawn 30 seconds before the attackers. This is only for the first spawns of the match. This would help the defenders, but it might make for some better matches. |

I don't like that idea at all, because that would make the defenders spawn camp the attackers easily. Imagine all the defenders spawning on the closest CRU to the attacker deployment area, and in those 30 seconds they can easily manage to camp and pick off the attackers as they spawn. |

I think the map already places the attackers out of bounds for the defenders and in their own area. Perhaps just increasing this distance would be good in some respects, but more as a restriction of spawn points close to attackers than as a hindrance on the map.
The idea of defender positioning prior to the battle is a good one, but I think 5 seconds would be enough as there is distance to account for anyway. Any player farther back has more time to respond already, and any forward position is already considered compromised and is a rapid response endeavor anyway. |

The easiest way to combat this problem is to shape the maps in such a way to were the defenders don't have a clear line of sight into the attacker spawn. Plus the defenders cant enter the attacker spawn to begin with, so I don't see that being a major problem. |

The reason the MCC usually gets blown up isn't the attackers not having time, its the attackers not doing what they are paid for. Even with the 30s timer, theyre still gonnabe randoms, and theyre still gonna have one popped MCC if they keep it up. Grouping is the fix ur looking for. I posted elsewhere that i wouldn't mind not grouping if bugs were squashed, but a squad trying to replicate a bug for feedback purposes would be more effective than one guy trying it alone. For now? We have to wait for new build and see. |

I feel like a broken record today, but, again... nah. It's fine the way it is.
You give defenders any sort of "set up" time in skirmish mode (not sure about the modes we haven't played yet) and it's just going to be a spawn-camp fest. Even if they fix spawn points so they are somewhat more random, if you have 5-10 guys all camping the spawn line, it's going to be hard to get anywhere unless your team is the bawss.
Other games have done this, but the one i played in particular forced the defenders to spawn in the back, so by the time you got to your objective, the attackers were already spawning and you didn't have time to run to the enemy spawn.
In DUST, you'd be able to run right up to two of their three spawn points, and camp the heck out of them. no thank you. |
