Breach Flaylock, therefore your argument is invalid.
It's not terrible, but it is slightly sub par. Though only the standard AR. I would suggest a slight damage boost between the 0-15m range. It is the best AR for when you have to engage multiple targets rapidly.
The Breach AR is easily the best AR for CQC fighting, though only single targets. One will often run out of ammo during extended fights.
The Tactical AR is also good but damage mods are near necessary to take down people quickly at range, and the hip fire is mediocre. The short magazine will often betray you when you need it most. A good sidearm is necessary for this weapon.
The Burst AR is both the most precise and the longest ranged AR. It is easiest to get head shots with this AR and is very useful for hitting people that are only exposing themselves minimally.

You know when AR will be in a better spot?
When other rifles will be worse in cqc aka more dispresion/kick (hipfire).
Currently ARR, ACR and CR have almost pin point accuracy

Lol this is a terrible tread, as a guy with 3 diffrent proto assaults unlocked. I find the gal is the best (second to the min)
So what's your problem the weapon or the suit?
Basic AR: Granted is not the best out of them but still can take out shields quiet effectively.
Breach AR: Packs one hell of a punch up close
TAC AR: good at mid range fights
Burst ar: Is a cross between TAC and assault, good for close and mid range
Shotgun: Is very effective she catching somone of guard.
Plasma cannon: The only Av weapon capable of killing infantry on a medium suit . Also is great for shielded tanks
The suit?
The gal is great for in and out combat, such as you can take some damage then recover and do it again. Personally I run a kinkat on mine to get me from A-B quicker
