Firstly, sorry if this topic has been started before, but I haven't seen these specific tutorials mentioned elsewhere.
Just some basic tutorials explaining how fitting works would be nice. I found this quite difficult at first and ended up buying 10 Militia rifles, when I only needed 1 (it might be nice to sell any surplus gear you don't need ).
Also, a tutorial about the different spawn/mini maps would of helped. I worked out that red was the enemy but who are are the blue guys and who the green?
Now I know that CCP have put up a Beta manual and having read that it made a lot more sense but i think it's a bit hidden away and it would be of more use to have mini tutorials that were accessible as and when you need them, from say the NEOCOM. I do see a reset tutorials button in the options menu so perhaps CCP are going to implement this anyway?
On a side note, I am loving the game the more I play, it does all slowly make sense and I love the tactical side of the game :) |

The different coloured team mates are different squads. They're used for more coordinated team play which you'll eventually see with Corps so there's no need to worry about them right now. |

Thanks for the reply about the team colours, it was more of the lack of knowledge about any of the game functions until the Beta manual came out.
I suppose the point I was trying to make is that EVE players probably felt right at home with all the stats.fittings/modules etc and knew how to get them to work together, whereas I struggled at first to work out what I had to unlock to get to the enhanced versions of everything. |

I didnt have this problem, since i am a longtime eve player.
But i see the problem, and i agree, there needs to be some sort of overlay or tutorial or something. |

Definitely would be nice to get to know everything about the game. I am a new to New Eden and although I have gotten a hang of most of the information there is obviously so much more than what I currently know. Takes time and effort to look up information around the forums and internet to figure everything out and a few nice tutorials would be a great way to help individuals with the process of beginning to understand the workings of the Eve/Dust universe |

Def agree they need to have tutorials/walkthroughs for game modes, character customization ect. I know nothing about the Eve universe and find the lack of any kind of help frustrating. There is a very steep learning curb to the game |

A vehicle playground would be nice, too. Learn to fly a dropship and drive a tank before spending massive amounts of ISK on them. |

Rule number 1-10 when looking at skills and where you want to end up...check the prerequisites. |

I completely agree with the OP. The little intros aren't very useful :( Still working out how to change my dropsuit -_- |

Yeah, tutorials would help a lot. Especially with the different types of dropsuits, and about blueprints.
...I spent a good 100,000 isk on things I only needed one of. ( ._.) |

Glad I'm not the only one then : )
Perhaps they could build the tutorials into some sort of VR training as has been suggested elsewhere. |

Create some tutorial videos and require that they play on the first time you run Dust. The reason I say "require" is because there are going to be a lot of CoD / Starhawk / MAG / Halo / xxxxFPS people signing up and figuring that this is just another FPS, so they'd just skip the tutorial, go into their first battle, lose their single set of modules because they didn't know you lose items on death (OMIGOSH I DON'T RESPAWN WITH MY STUFF WTF), and will most likely tell their friends that the game is stupid and forever remain ignorant of the epicly epic epicness that is Dust.
Beta testers and long-time Eve players might learn a thing or two from tutorial videos too. |

Fair point, although I feel that Dust is all about choice & customisation, so why not give people the choice about the training?
Smart people will run the tutorials and will learn stuff they didn't know, whilst the 'I know it all crowd' won't and they will suffer.
P.S. I love the epicly epic epicness that is dust, quality! |
