Basically what it says in the title, when I use remote explosives there is a delay in the detonation.
Now I havn't used them to a huge degree so far, since I just trained to use them and so don't know if theres any pattern to the explosion delay, but personally I think there should be an extremely small delay in the explosives detonating [im talking miliseconds] and not the current second or two that it takes at the moment. |

The delay is good. It prevents spamming of explosives and actual thought going into their use.
I approve of the current system. The only problem related to RE and other deployable equipment is the issue where they do not always render and you cannot see them until they are 'on screen' for a few seconds. |

Its not that I cannot use them with a delay but I have to think WHY there is a delay?

I just told you. It prevents spamming, and makes them a strategic use item, not something people can simply run around getting lol kills with at a whim. |

well seeing as you cannot reload them that also prevents alot of spamming with them, I have found that sometimes when I use them that they all do not explode. |

I love these things, they are fine the way they are. What I like to do is when I come across a heavy in close quarters I turn around and run around the corner, place 2 of these little guys, watch the heavy trudge dumbly around the corner, *click*, and watch the heavy touch the sky |

I like the current system as it is. The delay is good and I like how you might end up with the rare duds which increase the realism. |

Having duds I don't think is a particularly good system. May as well use something more reliable in place of them, though having duds may just be a bug. Having something like duds might be good in a military sim like arma, but not neccesarily in a more arcade/less realistic like game such as dust |

At this point I use explosives more than any other weapon and once you get used to the idea that they aren't GRENADES the delay isn't that big a deal. Place the explosives down ahead of your enemy and set it off as they approach and you'll get kills.
Having said that I usually spam the detonate button because quite frequently my explosives don't go off with just one push. |

To me it just makes sense that it takes a moment for it to arm. It has to stop moving first before it arms, and throwing it down it often bounces a bit.
My only problem with it is how they blow up for no reason sometimes. I think if they land upside down they seem more liekly to go off for no reason. |
