I would put it in the rookie forums, but most of this would go over their heads. Most of my fits require lots of SP to run. It would be a good insight on how to run most Minmatar fits, but I have a feeling that they would be confused by a lot of things. Most of the guide was written for the average player, not a new one.
I still feel that GD would benefit more from it, in both terms of visibility and overall understanding. As for the sig, maybe. I like my sig

This is great. A real post of education, information. and strategy. Everyone might not agree on the specifics but that's what the discussion is for.
I wish there was more posts like this. The forum seems to be full of QQ, Epeen, and pointless banter these days. I am guilty of it too.
Maybe that's what happens under our circumstances but I hated the forums when I first visited but it seems like a good memory compared to the forums today.

I have never used a Basic frame at proto, so I have nothing to add.
Back in my day, they were carbon copies of Assault suits, but cost more ISK and had no class bonus. A complete waste of SP and ISK.

They kind of play somewhere between a logi and assault now with the extra equipment slot they got. A jack of all trades master of none if you will.

im skilled into proto basic
if you remember the old assaults back in the day, then you would know. as a basic frame though, i think of it as a combat supporter. not strong enough to stand in fire fights but agile and dangerous enough to assist the team with kills.
personally i like having RE's with the basic frames and since they have 2 now a nano hive for ammo or a scanner would be useful.
whenever i ran with those combat loadouts i always replaced the uplinks with RE's as i found them more useful on that suit.
