I'm going to guess the overwhelming majority of players in Dust have never experienced a battle against someone using a turbo controller, and they simply mistake a fast trigger finger for one. It's funny because of so many threads have basically been about balancing the weapon around turbo controllers.
Oh, and not quite hatemail, but recently someone accused me of only taking 40% of damage received. It was a Skirmish battle where I used a standard ACR with a M-I assault BPO, and went 18/2. It wasn't my best score, but it pleased me that someone thought that I was using some sort of dark magic to resist damage.

You don't use dark Minmatar magics?
Came prepared.....left disappointed.

I got accused of using of using a turbo controller after I killed a scout who was standing still hacking. I was using a commando suit and got eight kills. Two with a "turbo controller" Tactical AR and six with a Plasma Cannon.
Obvious turbo controller was obvious
