We are the largest and most successful faction in New Eden. We have a thriving theocracy, political dominance, and monarchy. But it says something, that we are on top, and only have access to 3 racial weapons.
I want at least one of our ritual laser swords to be infantry ready, for when I want to give my enemy a ritualistic death. They should be honored as I impel my seething blade into their abdomen. And it shall be a Light weapon.
A True Slayer can only be born in the pits of Molden Heath

You already are. You should try to remember your basic training.
Every weapon our people forge is equal parts functionality and ritual aesthetic. Your weapon is a portable shrine to God, every charge you fire pays homage to Him, every enemy you strike down in defence of the Empire the purest form of veneration.
Your armour is to be your Cathedral. A Bastion of your Faith to stand against the Faithless and steel you against the horrors of the Dark Heavens. Encased in your drop-suit you are a raw embodiment of the Faith.

Holy ****, I agree. The AScR is obsurd at this point. I can melt a heavy (any race) in no time, using a militia variant ScR or AScR. The RR, CR, AR (any variants) can't do it near as fast as the ScR or AScR.
My armor is weak, but my shields are relentless.

While true, I have a bit of ambivalence towards that notion.
It could prove as an asset to our scouts. Scouts are best at CGC or long range, and I don't like degrading myself to use other tech. I already am forced to use another racial scout dropsuit, because someone gave it to me for free. We need our Scrambler Lances for our Sentinels, the Commandos already have their Laser Rifles, the Assaults and Logis have their Scramblers, our scouts are almost worthless right now.
I don't like being unable to use our racial CQC weapons.
On the other hand, I completely agree with you, swords being considered one of the most ritualistic symbols amongst any theocracy. And almost always reserved for generals on the battlefield.
It is a torrent war in both corners of my soul, and only a sword in my hand can calm my fury.
