The enemy refuses to leave rooftops... So I spend the whole game just destroying uplinks... While being bombarded constantly with AV, and everytime I clear a rooftop I go get some ammo and guess what... two damn DS spawn in to go on the same ******* rooftop... Speaking of AV whats the lock on range for the swarms, and whats the total range that they will follow you? |

Rooftop camping is the single most annoying thing in the game, it has come to the point where I wish dropships should be taken out of the game just to prevent it. Now for your question, swarms have lock on of 175m and flight distance of 400m

400m? Seems like a lot more. Also 175m is quite alot for a point and click weapon. But oh well. Edit also hate the player in the dropship and not the dropship... Ofcourse though **** mlt DS. I say rack up the prices of Mlt and Std, so that I feel like enemy actually looses something when I take it out |

Remember when we introduced minor fluxes to counter uplink spam?
And then we buffed the carry capacity for uplinks?
Every step taken to reduce or eliminate rooftop camping has ended terribly.
The only real solution is making rooftops a kill zone, much like falling into a hole you can't get out of (Game auto kills you)
This is however, immersion breaking, and CCP won't do it.

With any game that has interactive deployables, there are always "no good" zones. As in, surface area that's invisibly selected to not accept any objects on it. Like the top of the MCC, sort of.
I have no idea why they thought it was okay to allow not only uplinks/nanohives on high points, but give those places any tactical value to objectives and/or the ability to easily restrict enemy movement in nearly complete safety. It's simply not okay.
Ladders man. This game needs more ladders.
