I'm in the middle of the bureaucratic process of having a passport brought online. Even expedited, this time of year even money on 4 week minimum given the point I'm at.
So I consider the odds of meeting the very short deadline for passport scans to be in the neighborhood of nil.
Who knows? Maybe a miracle will happen. But I'm not banking on the long odds.
Good luck to the candidates.

Breakin: if you live near a major city, you can claim a business necessity and have it printed same day.
Ask me how I know ;) (had to use it for a trip to Mexico my work forced on me with a 2 days heads up)

I feel your pain man even in the military its a pain despite it being absolutely necessary. Good luck next year.

Possibly because of Fanfest?
If they removed that responsibility as well, chalk me down for CPM next year. My only problem with the gig is having to fly out of state and attend things. I'm a college student, leisure trips aren't in the budget.

Even without the trip to Shanghai you still need a passport. "All candidates hold a valid passport at the date of the candidacy evaluation." Why? Hell if I know.

Let me elaborate - I put that poorly. They're not strictly required to apply, but you do need one at a later date. It's just that some people aren't able to get passports in time.
