Okay, most of us have been here a long time, and if you take a look at that timeline you may notice one key factor that I did. When I stepped off my very first MCC, and felt the ground shake as my boots hit the surface of that cold Devoid district, I was part of a four man team in the middle of a most beloved 'fish-bowl'. I thought to myself as I redied my assault rifle, 'Why the hell are we killing each other over this? There's nothing here.' But, we fought on anyway. Our limited arsenal possessed only a handful of weapons, and simple munitions. None of us old mercs were worried about having tracer ammunition, we knew where our bullets were going to hit. As time passed, technology grew, and for us mercs who used light weapons it was great, and so did the amunition. Occasionally I can see the long thin trail of a snipers bullet, something we never worried about seeing before. To catch a sniper before, we had to remember that very intense half second of pain, where on the side of our head it hurt, just a fraction of a nano-second before our consciousness was transferred to brand new body. No contrail, just memory. And even then a few of those snipers eluded us. The fish-bowl that used to be dominated by tac ar's and laser rifles is mearly an obstruction that is crossed without a thought on our way to Bravo. The battlefields have become larger, and while the world has evolved, I noticed the framerate issues began to arise as well. Every day I spent as a merc in New Eden, wether it was on the ground, or as my very brief time in the Federation Naval Academy, New Eden is awesome place to engage in combat. However, I'm beginning to wonder if this evolution has brought on the lag aswell. I didn't have to worry about it before, but now, it just seems to be everywhere, all the time. And I wonder if all the new is the cause of all that's bad. If it is, I am sure that those of us here in New Eden would gladly trade a lot of our special effects and lighting, real estate, and explosions for a smoother, lag free game. And with a little luck, when a F.N.G. hits his inertial dampner for the first time and makes his way to that Galente Research Facility, at least the lag won't dissuade him from taking another contract.
