When you wait too long and spawn, there is no way to abort. This needs to go, as sometimes you might get glitched uplinks(infinite load), camped spawns, unintended spawning.

+1 Or you end up spawning way back at the MCC because the stupid cursor doesn't stay in frame when you move the map cam. |

its happened to me, clicked to spawn at MMC but somehow ended up spawning in someones derp ship, im paranoid about getting in strangers derpships but luckly he didnt slap into a wall like im used to

Yes please. So annoying when my adrenaline filled hands pick a wrong link from the bunch.
BUT there is one consideration:
I believe the uncancellable spawn (better term btw) exists because of proper removal of people idling on map screen. You know, that "deploy now or be removed from match"-thing. It's likely that if you are spawning in, the kickout timer stops so that no one gets kicked during the 15 seconds it takes to spawn in And in turn it's probable that uncancellable spawning is to prevent spawn-cancel abuse of avoiding the kick timer.

This annoys me too. As a Sentinel I sometimes hold my spawn until someone drops an uplink or hacks a CRU to avoid the long slow walk, and inevitably I will be part way through spawning when I see a red dot at the Uplink, or see another better uplink dropped, but I can't switch.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

So.. why not change from this behavior to: - If someone is deploying stop the main counter - If someone cancel the deploy: - - The main counter resume the main counting, with the messages and everything we have now and/or - Add an option to "move the deploy", so is possible to change from a uplink to another in extreme situations as red dots approaching to destroy or to camp.
Anything like this is possible? |
