Someone told me that if you open 10 boxes at a time you have a better chance to get rare items so I've always opened 10 at a time. I've never opened a single box by itself. What do you do?

After opening a couple hundred using the 10 option...
I decided one at a time did me good on rewards and nicely filled those gaps between matches.
Most my bpos were from single keys.

Interesting. I've opened hundreds of boxes 10 at a time and I've only gotten 5 BPOs and 3 skins. Maybe I should try 1 at a time for a while

I save up until 10 and have had much better luck. If I can't open 10 boxes I'm saving up until I have that many. |

I've opened maybe 60-75 boxes, and all but 10 were single keys. I received a Tash Murkon Sentinel A-1 BPO, a Brutor Commando M-1 BPO, and a Quafe Forge Gun BPO.
The time I opened 10? Bunch of trash advanced stuff and 2 Kubo PLCs.
I'll stick to opening 1 at a time.

By openning by one (a loooot) : Quafe ScR, Quafe PLC... and **** ton of adv junk.
By openning 10 at once (4 in a row) : Kaala Scout, Roden Galmando, Quafe SG, 2 Serpentis Skins.. and a lot of officer junk.

Its matter of opinion I think... you do have a higher chance when opening 10
But
I think you get a more of the rare item if you 1 at a time
Ex:
Open 10: 5 thales and 9 other things of blah amount
Open 1: 15 thales
I don't think this is confirmed its just what I've observed |

On the one hand I think CCP needs to have a better system of explaining how the game works to its players.
On the other I like that there are subtle intricacies like this to learn on your own.

I have never gotten a single bpo weapon, one skin and finally got the bpo shield car. I've always opened ten for the most part lately. Out of at least 200 boxes that's my lot. Compared to when I opened them single, it's not much different .I never got any BPO parts before either. That said I get far more officer weapons opening ten. You almost always get 2-3 separate rare items. though I'm not sure about the quanity compared to single boxes. The open 10 variant seems to be 1-3 officer weapons.
If anything about peoples claims to have better luck opening one box at a time are true I think it might be that you are sure to get 1 rare item opening ten, but perhaps less of a chance of getting a second rare item? I mean I've gotten a few pieces of officer gear, but never two of the same type. If I get a Sub machine gun, I don't get a second of the same one even if I might get a forge gun. Nor do you get two separate stacks of war barge components either.
So perhaps opening things one at a time increases your chances slightly since it's possible to get two of the same item within ten boxes? While it's not possible if you do the open ten option? Just my guess. |
