I'm not sure what the trigger is exactly but this has happened to me twice today while doing acquisition maps. Fist time it happened I was in the redline using a turret to blow up installations for my daily mission. Yeah not the best thing for the team, but CCP put in those annoying missions it's their fault
Any ways all the sudden I died, turret that was at full health blew up and I saw the kill feed saying that me and a couple other guys on my team suddenly all committed suicide. When I went to respawn I noticed our redline was gone, as were all the installations like CRU, Depot's etc that would be inside it. Everything blew up like a vehicle might if it was in the red line.
Worst bit from there is all our ground spawns were gone and for the rest of the map we could only spawn in where our uplinks were placed. Once those ran out I had to just hope for the match to end before I got kicked for failing to deploy.
The second match it happened to the enemy team. Their red line shifted and suddenly I could go deep into their area. I saw a couple people suicide at the same time. This one happened more than half way into a match while the first time it was within the first objective.
Not sure what's going on.. just thought I'd put this out there if any one else gets more data. For the record though I just re installed Dust this morning so I doubt it's a bug on my side. It seems to have started with this newest patch, but I don't play acquisition matches enough to know if this existed before. |

Experienced this on Train map yesterday, redline was so near like 10 meters from train.

Not sure of the map name but the one were the two teams start on opposite sides of a big canyon with a bunker to one side seems to have the issue every time I run the map. If your home base is south, and the enemy is north the canyon runs east to west, with the bunker at the east end. Seems like every time the 3rd objective is under that bunker the whole map cuts off from the bunker westward. Some times giving you a mere ten seconds to cover over half the map to get to safety. Never mind the fact I don't think the new redline even gives you a warning timer. |

Interesting.
Variable redlines were a feature I requested some time ago as both map variation and in-game fight balance tool.

Boulder rim confirmed, shifting redlines. The only upside to boulder rim was the complete lack of lag.
The lag was comparable to lag facility.

Experienced this yesterday in the Train Station map. The redline shifted when the objective moved. Half of our team 'suicided' since they were suddenly deep in the redline. Also, our ground spawns were in the redline, so you'd suicide before being able to run out.
Luckily I was dropping uplinks, but still. Unless you were running a blueprint suit, you lost a lot of ISK unnecessarily.
Basically add it to the list of why I won't run Acquisitions anymore.

im pretty sure it was intended as were the changes to the redlines on domination matches, they may have pushed out certain things that they did not intend to release or may just be testing it for the time being
as long as it does not retract from the game mode it should be fine although the spawn points need to be fixed so that they do not end up in the redline for your own team as I have seen many people dying due to spawning in and not having enough time to get out
