About to buy a PS $20 card and buy aurum and have a few q/a
1. What can I get with 43,000 aurum?
2. How many ranks would I go up?(currently a corporal (3))
3. Are Apex suits worth it???
4. Is aurum worth it in the first place???

Generally, you can get a much better deal by buying one of the packs. I got the Vet pack when it was 50% off and I still have about 40K Aurum left over, plus I have some cool BPOs.

I wouldn't buy an APEX suit with AUR. IIRC they cost more than 40k, as well, closer to 60k.
What can you get? Hm.
You could get two different skins.
You could get a single respec (you'd have a few thousand left over for suits).
You could buy skill boosters - you could be single boosted both passive and active for a month and a bit.
You could buy a fair few faction boosters (+25% LP).
You could buy a market agent (increasing the money you get for selling salvage to NPCs).
You could, uh, upgrade the AURbarge but you'd hardly make a dent in it with just 43k. Unless you're still getting level 0 subsystems.
You could get up to maybe four BPOs if you go for cheap ones, more likely two.
If you want an APEX suit, I suggest grinding for it through FW, if you can stand the grind. It'll take you somewhere in the region of 80 victories per suit. That'll probably be over 100 unless you run with a Q-sync though, and they don't run all the time. You can't get one on a $20 card, though, I believe they're about $30 each. IKR.
Is AUR worth it?
Eh. That's an opinion that varies from person to person. If you have the money to spend and there's something you really really want, then fair enough. If you're just bored and looking for something to spend money on there are probably better purchases.

Well, you go from 0 to 4 with 20 bucks, so I'm assuming you can go from 4 to halfway through 5 or on the early 6.

If you -really- need some ISK, there are more efficient uses of your AUR.
You could, for instance, buy a couple fhousand protosuits for the same price.

Buy combat packs instead.
$5 for 100 ADV & 100 PRO suits for at least two different roles.

I see you chose not to buy Aurum...
But if you consider buying it again, the best bang for your buck are the Factional packs imo
