firstly i'll use the system to trade BPOs across my accounts depending on who is skilled into what, and so that all my bpo trades/sales come from 1 account and can be traced to a main account.
but is it always a shot in the dark?
I'd love to get some or 1 commando bpo but wouldn't want to get screwed, if there's no security I'll never attempt to trade with anyone but myself. |

Biggest part of this game is "trust" with the community you interact with..
Part of the DNA of this game is to try to have as little hand holding as possible but still keep new players joining..
So "secure" trading is out.. unless you buy AUR or LP that's the only secure trading method in the books.

Personally, and keep in mind this is just my opinion, I think that's bull ****. Now granted I have not been scammed (yet), when trading is put into any game, they need a safe and valid trade system, you shouldn't have to fear taking the chance of trading or selling to random people, and there shouldn't be or never should be a list of known scammers when it can easily be prevented, especially when all you can trade are rare and high valued items in this game so far. Given how I feel about the trading system, I still think its awesome, I have never had so many Balac's ARs

There are several very trustworthy people like myself who have worked hard to build a reputation as an honest trader. Most of these people can be found in invite only trade chats like alpha trades or trello trades. Simply ask around in those chats and people will guide you to a trustworthy seller. If you're still not confident, use a middleman to ensure a safe trade. It's pretty easy to avoid scams if you're smart. Check a seller out at dustboard.com to see if it's an account that was just created, check corp tags and look for players in well known reputable corps. Nothing is 100% safe, but you can minimize the risk using these precautionary measures. You could also just message me as I'm well known in the trade community and buy with confidence that you won't get scammed.

I would never straight trade bpo's, skins or boosters until the trade window is updated.
The best way to mitigate the danger of loosing a rare item is to pay isk first for each item.
"I will buy your bpo for 30 mil and then you will buy my bpo for 30mil" |
