Between the holidays and some RL, I got behind on these again, but I'll get the last couple out this week!

In most cases, the associated costs of PC gaming are indeed higher. I disagree on PS4 being the "only logical business choice" though, there are major pros and major cons with both platforms.

To match a PS4? You're going to have a $200 graphics card, a $150 processor, a $80 motherboard, $80 in RAM (this is actually underestimating, PS4 RAM is better), $80 power supply, $50 hard drive, $50 case. And this is a low-end estimate of... $690. And that's not including your display, keyboard, mouse, or controllers.

You built a lemon that'll die in a year for $460. Congratulations!

It really isn't that difficult. If you need guidance there are walkthroughs, but you probably won't. That being said, I wouldn't try a liquid cooled system on your first build.

AMD. Seagate. That's all you need to know.

It really is pathetically simple. It's a lot scarier than it sounds, but it's very straightforward, and I'm sure my grandma could do it if she had to. The hard part is picking the right parts, as evidenced by the awful suggested build Ripley linked.

You know you can swap out the parts that hurt your fewings and keep the price in the same bracket, right?
